More Than a Hotel Stay — UMA House Makes You Feel Taken Care Of

UMA House in South Beach exceeded my expectations in every way. The property has a boutique charm that perfectly captures the energy of South Beach while still feeling like a true retreat. The rooms were nice and comfortable, the rooftop pool is a great spot to unwind, and the location is hard to beat — just a short walk to the beach, surrounded by great restaurants, and conveniently close to the free trolley that makes getting around South Beach a breeze. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team set the tone — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming throughout my entire stay. What truly set this experience apart, however, was the exceptional effort made by Director of Operations Rachel Louis and her team after my checkout. I had accidentally left a pair of sneakers at the hotel, and without hesitation, Rachel and her team went above and beyond to ensure they were returned to me. That level of care and follow-through is rare and speaks volumes about the culture she's built at UMA House. If you're looking for a South Beach stay that combines a great location with genuine hospitality, look no further. I'll absolutely be back.

A nice stay in Miami Beach

We enjoyed our stay at Uma House for one night. This would be a 5 star review except for the lower quality room experience. Room 103 felt like it was an after thought: the bed wasn't perfectly made up, we had to have some maintenance on the TV and it was noisy on the first floor and next to the restaurant. Other than that, it was a 5 star experience. The rooftop pool and bar was very nice and relaxing, Cafe Americano was perfect for breakfast (the vouchers were a big hit) and later for a late lunch. We loved the access to the beach and the accommodation from the staff to allow us to enjoy the beach until we left for an afternoon flight. We would stay again but would ask for a room on a higher floor.

No view in room-see the images. Not enough drying hangers/space in bathroomLocation is great, just fyi- no towels on beach and have to pay 28$ for beach umbrella .

To Whom It May concern: I am emailing you today to express my utmost gratitude for the incredible service provided by your staff during my recent stay. Specifically, I would like to thank Pear and Priscila from the front desk and Yunior who was on maintenance on the evening of last Saturday, March 28. After arriving at Uma House and checking in I entered my room #103 to discover that there were some issues. First, the fridge was not working. This was a problem since I had brought perishable food. Further, the television was not operating. Finally, it seemed the HVAC control was also not working. I went to the front desk and spoke with Pear and Priscila to make them aware of my situation. They sent Yunior to my room who immediately began to try and rectify all of those issues. For over 2 hours he reported back to the ladies on what he was and was not able to repair. Eventually, all three of these staff members actually came to my room and did whatever they could to address and document the problems. One of the ladies even used my phone and computer and called the manager to get the television operational just so I could watch some news updates. They did not leave my room until they did absolutely everything they could to rectify my situation. They also made sure I was provided with a partial refund which was very fair. Finally, they upgraded me to a new room the following day for the remainder of my stay. Last Saturday was a very long and frustrating day of travel for me. I was tired and short on patience. I was no doubt not in the best of moods. To me, this made their patience, service and hard work even more meaningful. I have stayed at Uma House before and my experience was wonderful. I have to say that this time was even better given the standard of service and care provided by your staff members – Pear, Priscila and Yunior. Exemplary services reveals itself not when things are running perfectly, but rather when things go wrong. I have NEVER received that kind of patience and honest concern for my own comfort and satisfaction. Thank you again and thanks to these fantastic staff members for another great experience at Uma House.
