Uma House by Yurbban

What a wonderful hotel and stay we have had. So friendly helpful staff, decor surroundings and ambience is amazing. Dario on the roof bar is such a wonderful friendly character. Always go for your free 2 glasses of wine at 5pm! He will call you over if you forget. Amazing place defo returning.

Had a very nice stay at Uma House. My husband brought me here as a surprise for my 50 th birthday. The hotel is modern and well maintained. Very clean. Loved the large spacious room. Wonderful bathroom with two sinks and big tiled shower. The hotel surprised me with a bottle of Prosecco. We asked a staff member for ice and returned to room to find our ice bucket full. The rooftop pool and the bar were perfect. Comfortable beds and fresh towels to lay on. They even had some inflatable floats to use. The bartender, Dario, was so very sweet and we enjoyed the time we had to talk with him. He also made sure everyone was taken care of and had what they needed. Breakfast was very good, better than I had expected. We were waited on by Ismael and Samuel, both were attentive and brought us refills for our coffee. The only issue that we came across was the coffee in the lobby, it would be good if they could label the different carafes as to what they had in them. I believe they had regular coffee and decaf but wasn’t sure which was which. Also, we were told we would find water in the lobby but we only found water up by the pool. Not a huge deal because they did provide us each with a bottle of water upon check in. The hotel is also convenient to stores and and restaurants, and across the street from the beach. Hotel Uma provided us with beach towels and also use of bikes. We unfortunately didn’t get around to using the bikes but plan to next time. We are already discussing our next stay at the Uma House.

We spent last weekend in South Beach for my wife’s birthday and we decided to stay at Uma House for the location. You are close to the beach, close to Lincoln rd and Espinosa way, yet, you don’t have to deal with some of the craziness of Ocean drive. We arrived earlier but the girl at the reception took care of us and placed us in a room that was ready. The lobby is gorgeous by the way. The room was nice, big, clean, with nice storage, double sinks in the bathroom, everything we needed. We had two free water bottles upon arrival. Breakfast was at Cafe Americano which is just below the hotel, and that was excellent, both for the food but also the people and the atmosphere. Uma has also perks, some of which we used and some we didn’t. You have access to free bicycles for 1 hour a day. They give you two beach loungers and towels for the beach. They have a gym, two rooftops, one of which has a pool. They offer the wine o clock at the rooftop which is complimentary wine and socializing. Overall we had a super good stay and we already want to go back! We ended up not using the beach loungers because we had to go to a specific beach to use them and we didn’t want to walk that far. We went to the wine o clock every night and we met Dario there, the bartender at the rooftop which, let me tell you, it’s the soul of that place. Truly a great, friendly person. He took care of us big times and we also had a nice long chat before we left. What a great guy! Since it was my wife’s birthday, the girls at the front desk also took care of us sending us birthday cards and Prosecco. Overall we both had an amazing stay and can’t wait to go back. They made us feel special, and at home, which is exactly what we wanted. Good job guys!

A great find after many years of visiting Miami Beach. Central location, funky, clean and comfortable and surprisingly good value. We like the quiet yet convenient spot on James Ave, with easy access to Collins, Washington, Ocean Drive and Lincoln Road. Warm welcome and farewell by front desk staff. Some unexpected extras in the form of bikes, wine hour, free coffee in lobby and a discount at cafe on premises. What’s not to love?
