Simply superb stay here at The Mandarin Oriental in Milan. I booked directly with the hotel for a three night stay for our wedding anniversary. We stayed in a Mandarin Room. We arrived before check in and whilst our room wasn't ready it was no problem as we had a coffee and opted to get some lunch in the Mandarin Garden. I had the club sandwich and it was probably the best I've had, the quality of food as well as the presentation of it and the quality of service is exceptional. The chef and his team do a superb job. The entire team in the Mandarin Garden are a credit to Guglielmo, they are knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Upon checking into our room, it was a pleasure to see a happy anniversary platter had been laid out, with cakes, a selection of fruit and chocolate strawberries, it was very thoughtful and very appreciated, there were also rose petals on the bed, which again was a lovely touch. The Mandarin room is a great size and featured a small balcony. It has a free in room safe, slippers, robes, coffee machine, and a kettle. There's also a Bose Bluetooth speaker so you can connect to it for music or podcasts etc. The bathroom has a really nice walk in shower and a Dyson hairdryer. The room as expected in a 5* hotel contains everything you need and the bed is very comfortable. Many thanks to the housekeeping team for keeping everything so clean and tidy during our stay. A nice touch was they tidy your mobile phone charging cable with a Mandarin branded velcro strap, never seen that at any other hotel. The location of the hotel is superb, you're right near the heart of everything, yet tucked away so you can escape the hustle and bustle. This was my first stay at a Mandarin hotel, but definitely won't be my last. I've been fortunate enough to stay at a good amount of 5* hotels and this stay is definitely one of the best I've experienced. The management team here are clearly very experienced and its a very well run hotel, and staff morale is also very high, and despite being busy they make time to chat and offer suggestions of things to do and places to eat in the surrounding areas. During our stay we also made use of the spa facilities and I have to say the swimming pool is fantastic, we didn't use the gym but it looked very modern and well laid out. We both had a massage treatment, and that was first class as well. On our last day, we also managed to get a late check out which was nice and much appreciated. Many thanks to the entire team at the hotel for making our anniversary stay so memorable, and I wish you all and your families all the very best for 2026

We unfortunately had our passports, credit cards, cash and lots of valuables stolen on our way to the hotel and the staff could not have done more to assist us. We were driving in a rental car to the hotel and had gotten into Milan when we got a flat tire, we think the "helpful" person on a moped who told us about it and "tried to help" us cut our tire and was working with a accomplice so when we got out the car to look at the tire, they stole 3 bags our wallets, etc out of the back of our car. We called the hotel for help and they came, took us back to the hotel and one person stayed to deal with getting the car back to the rental company. They also got us to the police station to make a report and then the next day helped us get passport photos and get to the consulate to get emergency passports. We could not have navigated this ourselves. Because of all this help we were able to enjoy some of our time in Milan, we felt very much taken care of and importantly safe at the hotel. Nicolas Abate the head manager was amazing and should be very proud of his staff and the level of service they provide, particularly when emergencies happen. We can't imagine staying anywhere else in Milan if we go back. Big word of warning though when traveling to Milan be very careful and vigilant. The consulate told us the same thing happened the week before to other travelers, also folks at all the shops warned us to be very careful because theft is so common and tourists are targeted.

Absolutely amazing experience. The hotel is perfectly located in Milan. The staff and service was exceptional. It was the most perfect stay for our family and very much what we needed. Everything from the spa to the bar and a lot of retail therapy. Recommend staying again and again and again. I should not forget to mention the best martini I think I have ever had. Beautiful experience. Thank you MO Milan. You have done it again.

My husband and I travel the globe and have stayed at some of the best hotels in the world. I mist say that the service at this Mandarin Oriental might be the best we’ve ever experienced. We recently went on a 3 generation family trip and spent our 3 final days in Europe here. From the moment we stepped foot in the building we were treated like royalty. The GM made a point of introducing herself upon check in. From basic things (like restaurant recommendations) to over the top (I needed some ice for my back and they ran to the store to buy ice packs!) to the incredibly kind and efficient bellmen my entire family said that the way they were treated was extraordinary. Could not recommend this hotel more highly!

We decided to kick off our Italian adventure at this hotel and we had high expectations. I am pleased to say those expectations were exceeded in every respect! The hotel has a great vibe with service and friendly staff to match. The Mandarin Garden needs a special mention - it is just beautiful - so peaceful with a real ambience. We had breakfast in the garden every morning and returned for a drink in the evening. This hotel has it all - can’t wait to return.
