This is one of the nicest hotels we have ever had the pleasure of staying at. Its a great location at the heart of Milan but is amazingly quiet at the same time. The staff is incredible and so helpful in every way

We loved our stay at the Park Hyatt. Fantastic location, beautiful property that is so befitting of Milan. The staff were always attentive and helpful. I would come back to Milan again just to stay at this hotel!

The plusses are: The location. It’s right next-door to the famous, AMAZING Duomo Cathedral and the magnificent, high-end, outdoor shopping mall. The Park Hyatt is essentially located in the same square as both. So you cannot beat the location…and the hotel has a beautiful façade and entryway/lobby area. It was extremely quiet from within the suite, we had a suite on the top floor, and I’d be hard pressed to find any noise from within the suite for the entire three days that we were there. Also, some excellent staff members- Natasha in the front office who assisted me pre-arrival as well and was a delight upon check-in, and then also Chiara the Hotel Duty Manager- very caring and personable, and Ronny the Housekeeping Houseman. An excellent men’s steam room in the spa area. Also, the room air-conditioning appeared excellent, however it was cool in Milan during these past three days so it’s hard to truly gauge that. And the entire property is spotless. Unfortunately, for us, that’s pretty much where it ended… Very poor water pressure in the shower. Toilet seat was broken and only one bathroom in the suite. The lights were confusing and glitchy, this was actually a big frustration throughout the three days trying to adjust the lights, just not intuitive or easy, or functional for that matter. The automatic blinds were 60% nonfunctional. One of the most important things for me, since I’m always “working” is there’s literally NO desk in the entire suite. How do they think this is OK? Just because people may be on “vacation” in Italy, doesn’t mean they don’t need to still work, and this is a CITY property. I had to create a makeshift workstation by moving around a very heavy couch chair and a table, and it was a nightmare; cords everywhere trying to connect to electrical outlets for my monitors and laptop, etc.. lots of effort, trying to move that great big couch chair back towards the desk and away from the desk every time I needed to get up or back down. The suite set-up was poor, from the “living-room” you had to walk through the bedroom to then get to the bathroom to then get to the terrace. It was just nonsensical and a disturbance for someone that may be trying to rest in the bedroom. During one of my many walks, I walked past a Mandarin Oriental Hotel, which I knew was there and forgot about, or didn’t know about at all, and had just discovered, and that’s where we should’ve stayed. And that’s where we will stay next year, and if you’re picky that’s where you should stay. I went in one day to one of the restaurants, and it was magnificent. I also stopped and chatted with the front desk folks- and everyone was just so kind and pleasant, and had I a wonderful, long chat with Assistant Font Desk Manager Brando, he was amazing! I stayed 9 nights at the Mandarin in Madrid two years ago and it was the most amazing hotel that I’ve stayed at in my lifetime; the Mandarin Oriental Hotel Ritz Madrid. Sidenote, this was my first time in the city of Milan, and it very well may have taken the spot as my favorite city in the world. Absolutely phenomenal; almost a cross between Paris and Madrid, in its beauty and sophistication. And extremely clean, and it felt incredibly safe all hours of the day and evening everywhere in the central-area. And much less congested and crazy as I find Rome, albeit I LOVE Rome as well. Can’t wait to get back there in a few days. Italy is such a blessing!
