The location, 5 minutes walk to Duomo is excellent, but I’m afraid the positives end there. I’m currently staying here whilst on a business trip to Milan. It is apparently a 4 star property, but I’m struggling to see how. The hotel apparently had a refurbishment back in 2009, but I’d suggest that bedrooms especially (a long, long walk from reception along endless corridors) are already overdue for another one. Let’s begin - The bell boy asked to take my case on arrival, and then it was a long 35 minutes for it to arrive - and only after two phone calls to reception. Reception was efficient, but not overly warm. This was also mirrored in the service throughout the hotel. Public areas are somewhat stark and sterile. The hotel boasts “the most beautiful view in Milan” but I have yet to see it. And all I can see from my small double room is air conditioning ducts. On the subject of air conditioning - it is LOUD. Also, the air conditioner itself (hidden by a wooden surround) was dirty. My bedroom, as I’ve already mentioned, is small. Chunky furnishings don’t help with this. The bed at least is comfortable, and housekeeping to a reasonable standard. BUT - there is nowhere to plug anything in! Don’t expect sockets by your bed to charge a phone, or indeed anywhere else! Light switches are bewildering too. The wardrobe comes with helpful interior lights which I found impossible to turn off - so I could sleep in the dark. As others have mentioned, breakfast, in a windowless room, was somehow bleak. Yes, there is a plentiful selection, but the quality is poor. Even the coffee (in Italy!!) wasn’t great. I’m one day in to a five night stay, and already wishing I’d booked somewhere else.

This is a large business like hotel with long winding hallways. If you're visiting Milan then you won't get a better location. Rooms are modern and modestly sized. The hotel is clean. Nice roof top deck. The gym, also on rooftop, is hard to find but adequate. No pool in the hotel. The bar area is large and inviting. Staff are friendly. Expensive.

I recently stayed at the Rosa Grand Milano and was thoroughly impressed by the experience from start to finish. Nestled just a stone’s throw from the iconic Duomo, this hotel combines prime location with refined elegance and exceptional service. The staff were outstanding—warm, attentive, and always ready to assist with a smile. Whether it was arranging dinner reservations, giving local tips, or simply ensuring a smooth check-in, their professionalism and kindness made the experience feel personal and memorable. The whole family loved it and will be coming back!!!!

Great location. The hotel dissapoints you when you have to go to your room. The intertwined corridors look like a laberinth and it's hard to fin the room they selected for your stay. However, the room was comfortable and maid service is quite good. Breakfast is very complete although served in a windowless room, something rather unique in hotels. Never stay for dinner at the top restaurant facing the Piazza Fontana. With my wife we ordered costolleta milanese each at 38 Euros. Besides tasteless, the portions were so enormous we couldn't finish them. The waiter should have suggested to share this dish. We had two glasses of wine at Euros 20 each. Notwithstanding these exaggerated prices we were "forced" to pay a contribution of Euros 7.20 for the staff as a tip which came already included in the bill so that we couldn't refuse it. The service was extremely bad. The bill was Euros 150 and we only had one dish. We didn't have appetizer nor dessert nor a bottle of wine. This event brought a sad end to what could have been an excellent stay. NEVER HAVE DINNER AT THIS HOTEL.

My gold ring was stolen. I left it on the nightstand because I was going to work and it was bothering me. I knew I should have left it in the safe, but I thought it wouldn't be necessary. Mistake. When I mentioned it, they simply told me they'd let me know if they found it. It's a shame you can't trust these hotels.
