Milan is a city that puts fashion first - an attitude which Sina The Gray takes to heart. Sleek and unabashedly stylish, this hotel caches its bold contemporary flair in a residential street between the historic Duomo and La Scala Opera House. Furthering this exclusive hideaway's elite ambiance, intimate guest rooms blend warm earthy colors with the feel of a designer showroom. As for Le Noir restaurant, it is the place to see and be seen.

Firstly I want to list the positives. The location is excellent - it is within 25 mins walk of anything you might want to do. The service was very good as well. The concierge was proactive in warning us about travel problems and offering advice. The breakfast and the service at breakfast were excellent too. The less good elements. The room had a bath and shower. The bath ran tepid and the shower too hot. There were niggling clicking sounds in the room we could not trace, but to be fair we didn't report it. There is a shortage of sockets in the room. The disappointment was also the price. We planned the trip months in advance and prepaid in full at the advertised best rate. However it is only the best rate on that date. Two months later the room was 150 Euro cheaper. I know the risk was mine and I did not expect a retrospective credit but there was no recognition by the hotel - no complementary bottle, or room upgrade or voucher to spend. My advice - secure a room on cancellation available then look out for better rate when they might have lower than expected occupancy. Note they also add a (desceretionary) service charge to the room charge. Just budget for it.

This hotel is located right in the middle of Milan near the cathedral/duomo and steps from unending shopping and dining options. It offers all the amenities you’d expect at a premium hotel in a very boutique setting. The breakfast was nice, but never very crowded or well-utilized for some reason. We didn’t eat dinner in the restaurant, but that was an option too. Our room and bed were comfortable and well-appointed. Even with the crowds and activity in the area, our room was totally quiet. My favorite spot was the 2nd floor terrace for a quiet escape to read or relax and they serve drinks there as well.
