Dreadful hotel, bad service, terrible food

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This is not a good hotel. The room is fine, but the bathroom is the size of a tiny closet and the shower design allows the water to run all over the floor. Repeated requests for an extra bathmat or extra towels have been ignored. They never replenish the mini bar with "free soft drinks and bottled water" and we have been asking about this for four days. The food is terrible for dinner and the breakfast buffet is awful. It seems impossible to have stale cereal, room temperature milk, old fruit salad, tasteless pastries, watery scrambled eggs, etc. for $50.00 per person. I guess that they cater mainly to Americans and evidently they do not care about doing things properly. The Spa is closed. This is a real disappointment after having stayed at better hotels in Milan in the past. . I will say that the concierge has been great. That is about the only compliment that I can give.

Exceptional Hotel Management!

This hotel recognizes Marriott Status. As a Titanium Elite member, we were generously upgraded and also greeted by the hotel manager. As a platinum or higher elite member, I recommend opting for the breakfast instead of welcome points. The breakfast here is amongst the best of inner city brand name hotels I have stayed at in Europe. I am a return customer and was just as impressed the second time as the first. I will not hestitate to stay here again the next time I am in Milan! It is worth noting that the beds are also very comfortable compared to other hotels I have stayed in across Europe.

Wonderful stay in Milan

Beautiful hotel located in a great location in Milan. Outstanding breakfast. Dealing with Jonar at the front desk was a pleasure. He took the time to answer all our questions. My wife and I were celebrating our 45th anniversary and he upgraded us to the executive suite for our stay. A spectacular way to start our celebration.

I liked the ease of this hotel into the Italian experience. Very nice place! The made accommodations seeing that we had room requirements, Also liked the guy at the front, knew our faces.

Not a 4-star hotel

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

We were there with a tour and incurred one problem after another. First, the hotel assigned us to the wrong category room. When I complained, the hotel agreed to move us to the proper category room but, after unpacking, it was obvious that the AC did not work and it was close to 90 degrees outside. After waiting more than half an hour for a maintenance person, I called the desk again and was told that they had two "cool" rooms available. I questioned whether they were in the right category and was assured they were. When we got to the new room, it was virtually identical to our original room but because it was now quite late and we had to be up very early the next morning, we reluctantly took it. An hour later, the toilet in the new room malfunctioned, requiring another call for maintenance. The toilet could not be fixed until the next day so we dealt with a semi-functioning toilet all night. On our last day, the toilet malfunctioned yet again after supposedly having been fixed and we waited over an hour for a repair. We did receive a plate of fruit and an apology for our troubles but that hardly made up for the pall that our hotel stay cast over our three days in Milan. This is a 3-star hotel impersonating a 4-star hotel. Don't be fooled.
