Reviews for Casa Baglioni Milan

Luxury prices without the experience

This is a pretty expensive boutique hotel but I'm not sure the value is here. First a pet peeve of mine (and many other travelers): light pollution in hotel rooms! This hotel does not rate well in that category: a smoke detector above the bed that flashes green every 5 seconds? check; a card reader and master switch that lights up its whole area? check; a TV with a bright red dot (classic)? check; an outside light that stays on and shines brightly into the room and requires staff to cover with cardboard? check! Fortunately I always travel with a roll of dark tape to alleviate those issues but in this price category I shouldn't have to jerry rig some contraption on every light source. Then breakfast is included but not really, they nickel and dime you with paying options like the omelet and some juices, etc. In my book that's not luxury. I don't care about the cost of these options but the fact that they exist. Keep it simple, include everything and don't make the customer of your €1500 rooms pay for ridiculous options at breakfast and make them sign bills in the morning. The gym was nice enough, with the right equipment and size. No pool or spa which should be incompatible with a 5 star category. Rooftop was closed for work. Staff is nice and helpful, but some training needed here and there, for example when delivering room service don't bang loudly on the door several times, just use your pass to pry the door open and discreetly announce yourself. Details, details I know... Ah also my blood pressure always rises a notch when I see minibar water at €7. Luxury hotels are starting to understand that we hate the minibar billing which is highway robbery anyway and now include the whole minibar.

New boutique hotel in the heart of Milan. There is such an attention to detalis. I really felt like bome here. The staff is so caring and smiling. The way they were looking after my requests made the difference. Nothing was too much trouble, really exceptional. Looking forward to come back. Thank you

Set on the edge of the artistic Brera district of Milan, home of showrooms, boutiques, and craft workshops, is the Liberty-style Casa Baglioni hotel. Italian architecture is at the helm of this 5 star property which encompasses 30 accommodations amenities, a Michelin-starred eatery, a cafe-lounge, a compact gym, a brand spanking new rooftop facility and boasts of providing interesting tours. The hotel furnishings, crafted by Italian artisans, echoes the famous works of Milanese sculptors and artists. My room was decked out in 1960's inspired decor. A blend of texture and color with a fusion of glass elements added a streaming effect to the atmosphere. The warm palette of blue, walnut, cream and grey complete with an electrified desk provided a homey feel to the surroundings. The bath had significant appeal with brass fittings and a funky, unusually shaped, double sinks. The Michelin-starred restaurant is the Casa's highlight attraction with it's menu of traditional Italian specials accompanied by a dash of East Asian influences. I fell for the fish (pan-fried crustaceans).............heavenly. So , if you want a small boutique hotel that aims to be your home away from home..............then try the........... I spent few days in Milano and I decided to book a room in Casa Baglioni since I was looking for a boutique hotel in the city center. It was an amazing experience, everything so perfect starting from the kindness of the staff, the fresh flowers in my room and the sophisticated atmosphere! Super elegant and relaxing… definitely I will come back! Thank you so much!
