New historic low for the andaz brand. Do not book a suite room, there is absolutely no soundproofing done and you will hear the next door snore. The receptionist Mai will also gaslight you and tell you that noise cannot be prevented due to it being a connecting room, which let me assure you, is not the case in many much cheaper hotels around the world and in Japan. Not returning. Okura next door is a much better hotel in this area and please do yourself a favour and check out the one star reviews for this hotel. This is a known issue and there is absolutely no attempt at rectifying the issue, only to gaslight customers.

We stayed at the Andaz Tokyo booked through Amex travel and it was enjoyable short stay. Both room had the views of Tokyo Tower which was delightful to see. We love the fact that the hotel rooms were located on high floors with relaxing vibes. My girls were delighted with tiger pillows and other children amenities. I enjoyed the shower and the Aesop toiletries. We had both dinner and breakfast at the Tavern and it was enjoyable. Overall we would definitely recommend this hotel.

The ambience of the hotel was great but rooms were congested and not practical if you have luggage. The hallways appeared gloomy and dark. The breakfast had variety but cooked eggs, pancakes and waffles were not good. Customer service was great.

My wife and I stayed here during our honeymoon, and it fast became one of our favorite hotels we had ever stayed at. The deluge of great reviews here cover the most important points, but I just wanted to shout out a couple of things that really stood out even in comparison to other luxury and Tokyo hotels. First, the layout and design of even the standard rooms is incredible. The wood and green carpet motif might seem a lot in photos, but it is tasteful and timeless in person. The rooms are also a very spacious square shape, with plenty of seating and table area opposite the bed. And the entry way and bathroom space themselves are very generous and well done in slightly darker wood and marble tones, allowing a nice contrast with the comparably light bedroom area and providing ample space to store luggage away from the primary living and sleeping space. There is absolutely no need to book a larger room for a couple, and as such the standard room booking is an excellent use of points, particularly in busy season. Second, the location is fantastic. I initially did not think it would be, since it is not exactly walking distance to the main hot spots of Shibuya, Shinjuku, or Asakusa/Ueno/Akihabaram and Ginza or Roppongi are at best a long walk away. It was this worry that led us to stay in Shinjuku for one half of our stay in Tokyo before moving over to the Andaz. However, given that Tokyo is such a spread out city, we found that Toranomon Hills was a fantastic base for a Tokyo trip. It is around a 15-25 minute subway ride to almost everywhere in the city. And the area itself, while certainly business-oriented, is full of local life particularly at the end of the work day. In addition, if you are going to or coming from somewhere where there is not easy subway access, it is also around a 15-20 minute drive to/from anywhere in the city, with taxis constantly available outside the ground lobby. Genuinely convenient to the point of near seamlessness--which is a genuine challenge in Tokyo. Third, the rooftop bar is incredible, not only for the views and the high quality drinks, but for the opportunity to sit outdoors as well as indoors at that elevation. Must visit even if you're not staying there. Lots of other good things to say that others have said, but I will absolutely stay here again the next time I have the opportunity to visit Tokyo.

Housekeeping went above and beyond every single day: our room was always immaculate, and even clothes we had left unfolded were neatly arranged on the bed. It truly felt like we were being pampered. We also visited the rooftop bar and were lucky enough to be guided by a kind staff member to a closed-off section to admire the Tokyo Tower view—an unforgettable moment. Location-wise, the hotel offers direct access to both the Ginza and Hibiya subway lines, making it incredibly easy to explore Tokyo. This was luxury at its most thoughtful and convenient. Highly recommended.
