Who is this hotel for? Business travelers with a corporate card to pay for the parking, people flying in who do not have a car, and people who do not mind very soft beds or warm temps. Let me just say, the parking situation really clouded my feelings from the get-go. We arrived and parked across the street in the garage, because there was not valet present. Then, we went to check in and asked about the parking situation and were told that is the more expensive garage and we should park in the other garage that is below the hotel (but the entrance to which is on a totally different street). So back to the car we go. We paid $8 for the small amount of time we spent in the first garage. The next garage had a pocket entrance you have to be fast to catch on the first …or third try. And there are no in/out privileges. So we ended up with $40 for one day and another $36 for the next day because we came to town to do things. I just don’t understand not having valet here. Then, the room. I was offered an upgrade on the app to a deluxe room (tub separate shower in the description) but when we checked in we got an accessible room (combo bath sprayer shower) We’d spent so much time driving and parking we just got settled in. But the room was warm. AC would not cool down to the setting and it was warm all night. Mattress was super soft (maybe that is your back’s thing? Not so much mine). The next morning we told the front desk about the ac and they moved us (to another accessible room) with working ac. Bed still soft like the first room. The area surrounding the hotel is nice and has a lot of great walkable areas with restaurants etc. The staff are great and there are some sitting areas in the lobby and a bar. Would we come back? Get rid of those mattresses and add valet and i would consider it.

Wonderful hotel in downtown Minneapolis within walking distance to Target Field and Target Center. The hotel is in great shape, and the staff was friendly. Seemed like a safe area too, no issues at all. We will return if ever in the area.

We had a beautiful king hotel room. The hotel is walking distance to Target Field for Twins baseball. It would be better if parking could be included as a room charge.

I stayed here in the recent heat wave, and as documented elsewhere the hotel AC just is too old / not good enough to cope. It was actually extremely uncomfortable, leaving me feeling quite unwell, both in public areas and my room. Management's view was that this was a once in 30 year experience, do what could they do, which may be true but is disappointing as a guest. What is however completely unacceptable in my view are the following: 1) About 90 mins after I checked in, another couple also walked into my room, having been checked in subsequently to the same room! Obviously many bad things could have happened in that scenario but the couple were very nice. However not even an apology from staff for such a bad failure. 2) The gym (which claims to be "remarkable" on the website) had no mats at all, no foam rollers and was missing some basic weights, and had no machines / cables etc. The manager insisted they had plenty of mats but a week later none had appeared. 3) I came back late one night early in the stay to find housekeeping had not done my room even though I had taken the DND sign off at 9am or so. The Guest Service Manager's explanation was somehow that a supervisor goes round early and if your room has the DND sign on, they tell the team not to do it unless you advise otherwise! So clearly they are understaffed. This meant I had to leave the sign off throughout....
