A Wonderful Time in Minneapolis!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My friend and I had a wonderful time seeing the sites in Minneapolis - a Twins game, the Minneapolis Institute of Art, the Minneapolis Central Library, Mall of America, and the Guthrie Theater. One of the best parts of the trip was staying at The Lofton Hotel. From the first day, we encountered friendly, helpful staff at the Front Desk and at the Cosmos Restaurant and Bar. The rooms were clean, spacious, and oh-so-comfortable! The Front Desk staff - Mikaelah, Sienah, and Romar - helped us navigate around the City, recommended restaurants, and assisted in printing documents for us. I would stay here again!

Wonderful hotel

Just spent 2 nights at The Lofton and was very favorably impressed! The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful. Our room was spotless, well appointed. and updated. Beds were quite comfortable. I definitely would recommend it and stay again when back in Minneapolis.

Really liked this hotel! Staff was fantastic! Room was great! Found the pillows on the soft side but I think that’s typical for most hotels. Mattress was comfortable though. Only issue was that we couldn’t access the baseball game on the TV in the room. Adam from maintenance came up to try to fix but said it’s a known issue with access from the rooms - can only access the station in the hotel bars. Hopefully this gets resolved and isn’t any issue with the other sports. Glad I read the reviews about parking in advance - choose the Mayo Clinic Square Parking on 7th Street. Pay in advance with SpotHero. We initially then walked around the block to enter the hotel but then the staff told us how to access without going outside.

Great Stay in Downtown Minneapolis

My stay at the Lofton was great from check-in to check-out. The reception staff was friendly and helpful. All staff that I encountered were friendly as well. The room was clean and nicely adorned. The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and directly across from Target field.

Check in is at 4pm, we arrived at 3:52pm and had requested 2 rooms next to each other. Well they could not accommodate unless we waited. It is very close to Target Field so that was nice. The outlets on the lamp between beds were garbage. It was like they were stretched out because my iPhone charger would not make connection unless I held it and slightly twisted. Don’t plan to watch TV most of the channels loose connection and get glitchy. The water is scalding hot so that’s a plus. Furniture appears cheap in the rooms, and pillows are garbage and flat.
