Actually it’s more of a solid 3.5/5 Nice location, the hotel building looks fresh, clean and almost luxurious. However, first of all, avoid rooms 225 and the ones nearby. Instead of a peaceful garden, or just backyard, you’ll get a view on the outdoor laundry storage, with staff talking, smoking, making phone calls and rattling noises all throughout the day - forget a peaceful daytime nap. At night, it’s quiet (probably, until about 7 am), however, the walls are so paper thin that if you have the bad luck of your neighbors talking or watching tv, you’ll hear every word and won’t be able to sleep - I didn’t. So despite the lovely setting, it wasn’t a relaxing experience. The thermal pools were probably good 15 years ago. Now, the facilities are very run down and dirty. The pool area has an unhygienic vibe. The staff is extra friendly and wonderful though! They’re the only reason the review didn’t get 3 stars Also, the restaurant food was surprisingly good.

The accommodations were lovely and had muted colors in the room with marble bathroom. I didn’t get a suite or anything and it was perfect for just myself. The grounds are beautiful as were all the spa areas. I opted for the grotta, and it was a great experience! I highly recommend. Nezzerano was manning the top and gave me a detailed explanation of it all and a nice history as well! You could tell he was really proud of his job! The restaurant was top notch and the dishes wonderful and elegant for dinner. The bar was great for Appertivo and the bartender remembered my order! You can also get some American style food there too, but before the traditional dinner time as all the cafes close for proper dinner leaving only the restaurant to chose from. The thermal pools were a lot of fun and there’s plenty of room to lay out and enjoy the sun, even in October! The cafe was great by the pool too with many options. The girl working there was all by herself and she busted it trying to get everything done! Bussing tables, taking orders, making coffees, taking food out. I was so impressed by her!! I would definitely come back again and try the mud/massage experience next time as well. I’m sad to go!

The + points - Beautiful room (the grand deluxe with terrace - 665 € per night) - Hotel lobby and garden are lovely - Staff were nice and helpful - Cave diving was the highlight of our stay and was better than what we imagined from the limited info online The - points - The spa was way below 5* or 4* standards - thermal area feels like a public swimming pool with cheap, unattractive materials which have aged badly with time / humidity - no « pampering » feel anywhere - The spa was one of the main reasons for choosing the hotel and doesn’t resemble the online photos which have been carefully chosen in terms of angles and lighting (ie mood lighting in the hammam non existant - again feels like a public swimming bath facility). Spa toilet smelt strongly of urine… - Massage costs equivalent to 5* prices - ie 130€ for 50 minutes - in a cold « hospital » feel room, with uncomfortable massage bed, unpleasant medical hospital smell in the room… - Breakfast poor quality of food All in all, although the great cave diving, we were disappointed to have spent 1200€ for 24h here sadly. We were staying at a Leading Hotel of the World, also 5*, in the region the nights before, and paid the same thing for a far more elevated and pleasant experience.

I had an amazing stay at this hotel. There were so many areas to use the thermal pools and steam rooms. I was lucky enough to be the only one in the caves for about 40 min and it was a great experience. The staff was all very attentive and helpful. I loved the room, I had a Jr Suite and it was very spacious and the bedding was soft and comfortable. I had such a relaxing stay at this hotel

Thermal pools are worth the visit for sure. You can get a day pass and enjoy the pool and the lounge chairs. We also paid to visit the grotto while we were staying there, it was very interesting but lots of people talking very loud definitely made it difficult to unwind. We stayed at the resort and they were gracious to upgrade our room but our ceiling leaked the last night all night because of rain starting at around 11 pm so we didn’t get restful sleep and when we told the receptionist she didn’t seem concerned.
