Broken hot tub for 12 days and counting

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Although we liked quite a few things about this hotel like the main lounge area with pool table, foozeball, big fire place, the free shuttle to hill and great rental shop, nice staff, and large rooms with fireplaces, I still need to rate it a 2 because we booked looking forward to hot tub that looked amazing and it was broken the whole time and we are staying 13 nights over Christmas, busiest season!! We were very excited to enjoy a hot tub daily after skiing but and our family is so disappointed. This is directed to Lisa Lincicome and OLMA Luxury Holdings who own and manage the hotel not the kind staff. They have had many previous complaints and did not ensure that the hottub was working for the busiest season. They don’t even pay for a cover to keep the hot tub hot after filling or overnight! There is a leak in the hot tub so they just keep telling staff to refill it but the heat will not keep up. I asked for a spa certificate so we could enjoy a hot tub somewhere but were told they couldn’t do that. Also the hotel needs other things as other reviewers have said. Carpets are stained, duvets have no covers and some are lumpy, walls are scuffed in our room, there are no fitted sheets so if you move too much in your sleep you end up on just a mattress cover. Definitely not a “luxury “ experience. Please take down listing of hot tub as an amenity until it is properly fixed. Also we have 2 days left here so you can still help us if you choose.

Run down

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

Place is a little run down, pool table is so messed up, bumper a not straight, the queues are crooked. carpets in rooms need a clean or the be changed as they are stained and very dirty. need new pillows, sheets. bar wasn't open and no food on site other than vending machine. And you have to pay for your coffee, overall, not worth the money they ask for the room.

Wouldn't book again

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

We booked this place as it had good reviews, wasn't too far from the village and offered the space we needed as a family (including a pool). When we arrived, check-in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. What we liked: the fact that there was an indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel is located about 5 minutes away from the main parking in the village - making it super quick and easy to take your car in. The rooms were big and we had 2 full bathrooms, along with a small kitchen (stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine and dishes). What we didn't like: there was far from enough lighting in the room/suite. Everything was so dark and it was difficult to see anything, even in the daytime. The air conditioning didn't seem to cool the bedrooms as much, even with the door open it was still very warm in the room at night. The outdoor pool was cold and usually had many people jumping around and splashing other guests. The noise from the hallways really travels through the walls and you could hear kids running and screaming down the halls at all hours of the night (not the hotel's fault necessarily). The indoor pool was very small and also just as cold as the outdoor pool - we didn't not really enjoy that part.

Another disappointing stay

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 months ago

While the hotel was clean, the room clean the pool heater was broken and it was freezing. Too cold for Grandkids. This is day four with checkout in day 5. Asking about the status of the pool heater each day to the front desk person felt light I was enlightening them each day that it was broken. While you could blame the staff this is purely a management communication issue of not keeping their staff informed so when guests ask the status they have the answer. Last year we stayed here and the “cleanliness of this hotel was a problem”. This year a broken pool heater and a broken elevator highlight this stay

Charged for not cleaning the floors, and stove surface

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 months ago

I stayed here with my kids for 3 days. Although the stay was fine, the facilities are very average, the pools were very dirty, with flies dead in the pool. Also, after i left, the hotel sent me an email that they will take money from my deposit to clean the room. They sent me the pictures of paper bits on the floor. Imagine, you're staying in an airbnb, and getting charged for not vacuuming the floors & cleaning the utensils.
