We booked this place as it had good reviews, wasn't too far from the village and offered the space we needed as a family (including a pool). When we arrived, check-in was quick and easy. The staff were friendly. The room was spacious and clean. What we liked: the fact that there was an indoor and outdoor pool. The hotel is located about 5 minutes away from the main parking in the village - making it super quick and easy to take your car in. The rooms were big and we had 2 full bathrooms, along with a small kitchen (stovetop, microwave, dishwasher, mini fridge, kettle, coffee machine and dishes). What we didn't like: there was far from enough lighting in the room/suite. Everything was so dark and it was difficult to see anything, even in the daytime. The air conditioning didn't seem to cool the bedrooms as much, even with the door open it was still very warm in the room at night. The outdoor pool was cold and usually had many people jumping around and splashing other guests. The noise from the hallways really travels through the walls and you could hear kids running and screaming down the halls at all hours of the night (not the hotel's fault necessarily). The indoor pool was very small and also just as cold as the outdoor pool - we didn't not really enjoy that part.

While the hotel was clean, the room clean the pool heater was broken and it was freezing. Too cold for Grandkids. This is day four with checkout in day 5. Asking about the status of the pool heater each day to the front desk person felt light I was enlightening them each day that it was broken. While you could blame the staff this is purely a management communication issue of not keeping their staff informed so when guests ask the status they have the answer. Last year we stayed here and the “cleanliness of this hotel was a problem”. This year a broken pool heater and a broken elevator highlight this stay

I stayed here with my kids for 3 days. Although the stay was fine, the facilities are very average, the pools were very dirty, with flies dead in the pool. Also, after i left, the hotel sent me an email that they will take money from my deposit to clean the room. They sent me the pictures of paper bits on the floor. Imagine, you're staying in an airbnb, and getting charged for not vacuuming the floors & cleaning the utensils.

We recently stayed at the Chateau Beauvalon from July 19-21, 2025. We were a group of 6 in a 3 bedroom suite (room 225), and here’s what we thought: The hotel: - Nice quaint hotel nestled in the trees, with a nearby lake - The pool water was green. We’re were told the filter was broken. Nothing like the stock photos and older traveller photos on Trip Advisor - The elevators were broken most of the time - The bar was nice, but only open the Saturday we were there. The part time bartender was very friendly though. - Room cleaning and towel change is only done after 3 days (we weren’t aware). Maybe that’s just for the larger suites? I understand water preservation is important. I recommend putting a sing in washrooms like most hotels. - Loved the free shuttle service to and from the village. Super convenient. Runs every 30 min, only from Friday - Sunday. - Unfortunate the restaurant is no longer there - Exterior landscaping could be improved The room - The 3 bedroom suite was spacious but definitely neglected - Carpets were extremely dirty. Definitely time for a steam cleaning. - Kitchen had everything we needed (dishes, appliances, etc) - Outdoor patio furniture (on our balcony) was very old and damaged - Drywall and baseboards were damaged Overall a good experience, but the suite definitely needs some more attention

We love this hotel and have stayed a couple of times. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very clean and well appointed. The shuttle service to the village is so convenient. CONS - don't forget anything in your room after check out because you will never get it back. I left something and called the hotel the next day. Was told the cleaning staff hadn't been in yet and to call back. I called again 3 days later only to be told the staff still hadn't been in the room to clean??!?! and that I would be contacted if they find my item. still no call. Our friends stayed in another room during the same visit and left something and was told cleaning staff did not find item. it's bizarre.
