I'll start with the positives. Great location and the ski in/ski out access is great if you're traveling with small children since you don't have to lug your gear around the village. Also, free hot chocolate! :) However, that's about it. We arrived at 3:30 and were told our family suite was not ready and that check in was technically at 4pm. Ummmm OK. They also informed us that even though we had requested a connecting room for the grandparents, they could not accommodate that request. Wow, rough start, OK. We made the best of it and went to pick up our ski gear and came back to finally drop our stuff off after 4pm once the separate rooms were ready. Not a great start but that's fine, it happens. Once we got into the rooms, the family suite was significantly smaller than it appeared online. We had two suitcases (24inch and 20inch) in the bedroom and could barely walk around the bed. The bathroom sink had no space for toiletries so we simply had our toothbrushes and other stuff on the kitchen counter. We then went to dinner at Le Comptoir - Fairmont Tremblant and had a weird interaction. Everyone at the table ordered a meal, and my daughter went for the kids buffet. My son grabbed a couple of fries off his sister's plate and the waitress immediately came over to tell us that if he ate more fries, she would have to charge us for the buffet. WHAT? He ordered a meal for himself and was simply having some fries from the BUFFET that we paid for my daughter. Do they also charge adults twice if they share a plate? I was shocked at the nickel and diming, given this is supposed to be a higher-end hotel. Never ate at the hotel again after that experience. When we arrived, we also requested a late checkout. We were told to come back the day we were checking out and ask, but that since we were leaving on a Wednesday they would likely be able to accommodate. On the day of checkout, I went downstairs to ask for the late checkout. The person at the desk had to go into the back room to ask someone else and then came back to say that they could not accommodate my request because someone was checking into MY room that day. That's weird, the hotel already assigned my room to someone else at 9am? Were they waiting in the lobby? I pushed back because check in is at 4pm and I was made to wait for my room when I arrived. She walked to the back room again and came back offering a 12:30pm check out. Really? 30 minutes? I politely declined as that did not help us one bit. Overall, great location, decent but small rooms, with staff that doesn't seem to know the basics and relies on backroom management for every question. The arcade is just a ballroom with 4 old arcade games and a ping pong table. My kids were not at all amused lol. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this hotel unless you have really small children and just want to avoid trekking through the village to get to the slopes. This hotel is in no way a 4 star "luxury" hotel and definitely not worth the high season weekend prices!

Great location. But, this hotel feels like a glorified Holiday Inn from the 1980s. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated and in serious need of renovation. There’s no minibar with even basic soft drinks, which is surprising for a property at this level. The ski valet service is especially disappointing. Instead of a convenient experience, you have to carry your skis inside, wait in line to store them overnight, and then walk to your room in ski boots while carrying your poles. That’s hardly what I would call valet service. The Valentine’s Day dinner was equally underwhelming. The food was poor, and there was no effort made to create a festive atmosphere — not even a flower or a tablecloth on the table. Overall, the experience did not meet expectations.

Tremblant is a breathtaking destination; the Fairmont Gold Floor makes it worth revisiting. Ski in/ski out, valet ski service, 5 star dining, cool outdoor après (think outdoor spa with mountain views and cozy pit fires with a Veuve champagne bar) and well appointed rooms (fridge, Nespresso, tea service) complete the experience. I know I should mention the impeccable appearance of the property and rooms, but what truly makes the Fairmont special, particularly the Gold Floor, is its staff. Professional, attentive, warm and kind, it’s a high end hotel experience with an attention to detail that most resorts lack. Mickael and his staff curate an elevated personal experience every visit.

We have recently returned from a fantastic family ski holiday staying at the Fairmont Tremblant. We have stayed at many Fairmont Properties around the world and this one is right up there with the very best. The recently renovated Gold lounge in particular is worth mentioning, and Michael and the whole team offer world class hospitality and guest care. The ski-in/ski-out access, Ski Butlers hire and the hotel valet offer unbeatable slopeside convenience. The spa area, especially the outdoor hot tubs, are fantastic after a day on the slopes. The hotel was very full over the peak holiday season, but never felt overcrowded and the service level was maintained. Our room housekeeping including turndown service was excellent all week. The only issue we experienced was an error on our bill on check out where we had been double charged for a dinner, but when pointed out this was promptly dealt with and rectified. We look forward to returning.
