Tuscan Luxury and Elegance With Stunning Views

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

We had an extraordinary stay for one week at Castelfalfi. The property is immaculately maintained and with a breathtaking view of the rolling Tuscan Hills. We stayed in two room categories - first on the second floor with a patio, and second on the third floor with no patio but a more panoramic view and a bathtub. Both were elegant and contemporary with thoughtful design. Our best meals on this trip were at the main restaurant. You must sign up for the truffle hunting experience - you will meet the happiest dogs on earth. The best aspect of this property is the wonderful, genuine, well trained staff. Each of them engaged in creating a warm connection with us in every department, everyday. I wish to thank the entire Concierge team - simply excellent service. In particular Alice provided superb assistance in planning our itinerary - great recommendations and well executed. I wish to thank and recognize Benjamin Bowen who leads the Concierge team with excellence and elegance. The property is a little village with lots to explore but for exploring off property you will want to hire a driver or have a rental car to explore Tuscan towns and wineries - the property has a great team of private drivers. Overall an excellent experience and we will be both recommending this property to our friends and returning for another stay.

A dream to be repeated

This property is really magnificent. The location, up on the hill, gives us a superb view over the Tuscany landscape. The atmosphere of the hotel was relaxed but classy. I never like to say that any property values the money but, this time, I’ve to admit that I’m regretting of not having to stay longer. Everywhere we went in the property was impeccably cleaned and the housekeeping lays perfectly in a 5* hotel. If you get bothered by birds noise, don’t go to these kind of places 😊. I’m obviously joking. The service was impeccable and everyone made us feel home. So, i could not recommend this more. Congratulations

Luxury Setting, but Details Matter

This place is truly fabulous. The breathtaking views, relaxing atmosphere, wide range of activities, and the beautiful historic village nearby make it feel like everything you could dream of in a Tuscan getaway. I especially appreciated the staff who helped with our luggage during check-in and check-out, as well as the young team members who drove us to the village in the shuttle van and to the restaurants in the buggy. They were always friendly and helpful. I also really enjoyed the cooking class, the instructors were engaging, knowledgeable, and made the experience both fun and educational. I learned a lot about Italian cuisine. There were, however, a couple of issues that affected our stay. First, the lighting on the staircase between the lobby and the ground floor seemed inadequate. I unfortunately missed the last step and fell, leaving me with bruises that lasted for several days. Fortunately, I wasn’t seriously injured, but it could have been much worse, especially for elderly guests. I was so busy enjoying the activities during our short stay that I didn’t report it at the time, but I did mention it during check-out in the hope that the hotel will improve the lighting and help prevent similar accidents in the future. The other issue occurred during check-out, when I noticed that I had been charged twice for the cooking class. Thankfully I caught the mistake, but had I not reviewed the bill carefully, I would have been overcharged. While the staff corrected the error, it was disappointing and felt unprofessional. It didn’t match the otherwise high standard of service that the hotel strives to provide. Overall, despite these issues, we had a wonderful stay. The property itself is exceptional, and with a little more attention to safety and billing accuracy, the guest experience would be even better.

What an outstanding experience we had at Castelfalfi

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

My husband and I had an excellent experience at Castelfalfi. The service is memorable- absolutely outstanding. From the moment we arrived (thank you Ariadna) to the concierge (thank you to Valerio) to the manager (thank you Noemi) to those working in restaurants, the customer care is warm and excellent. The views from Castelfalfi are absolutely beautiful and difficult for me to express just how stunning they are. The food was very good at each restaurant we went to on the property. The landscaping is beautiful . The facility is kept very clean. I highly recommend as it is a memorable and outstanding experience to stay at Castelfalfi .

Wonderful family stay but needs better dining options

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

This is a magical place. Beautiful rooms, great pool and spa, friendly helpful staff. Beautiful grounds. We were multiple families traveling together and really enjoyed our stay. We did the pasta making class and ebiking and enjoyed both. However, the dining situation there needs some major improvement. First know that there are very limited options with some of them closed at certain times or for private events. It would have been good if they told us that when we checked in. Il Rosmarino is quite good but was barely open when we were there. Olivano is terrible. Mediocre food with terrible service. The waiters there are poorly trained and very slow. We ate at the Ecru bar one evening and the service was slow plus there were some major English communication gaps there. If I went back, I would definitely rent a car to be able to eat off property more easily, as the hotel options were not great.
