We visited for our second time- this time with a group for my birthday. It was a dream come true, from the gorgeous interiors to the impeccable food to the marvelous spa and pools. Benjamin, the guest director, left no stone unturned in helping our big group by planning all our meals, town visits (Lucca and Sienna) and wine tastings. You can see basically all of Tuscany from your room as well!

Just completed a marvellous 5 night stay at Castelfalfi. The property is stunning and very large, we spent a morning hiking a 6km+ loop through the forest and fields before breakfast. The food throughout the multiple restaurants was delicious and the service was exceptional (a special recognition for Arianna at the front desk). In particular the general manager Benjamin helped curate an exceptional itinerary for our group, filled with visits to local wineries and estates and several of the larger sites, particularly Lucca and Siena. We can not recommend the location enough.

Here’s a polished, short-ish TripAdvisor version that keeps the raves credible and folds in the few useful caveats. **A restorative Tuscan dream — and one of the best hotel breakfasts I’ve had anywhere** Castelfalfi was exceptional. We were upgraded at check-in to a room in the main hotel, and it was fabulous: gorgeous design, beautifully appointed, a huge walk-in shower with excellent pressure, very comfortable beds, and a pillow menu. We faced the main road and never had any issue with noise. The little turndown gift each evening was a lovely touch. The food was a major highlight. I’ve been a frequent flyer since age seven and have eaten a lot of hotel breakfasts around the world; Castelfalfi’s breakfast buffet is genuinely one of the best I’ve ever had. It runs until 11, which late risers will appreciate, and the house-baked Tuscan flatbread is a must. La Olivina was also excellent — get the tableside tiramisu — and I loved that, as a nondrinker, I had real options across the bars and restaurants, including 0% Tanqueray, Heineken Zero, and thoughtful NA cocktails. The espresso drinks were fantastic, and available to go. The grounds are hard to describe without sounding dramatic, but they are truly restorative. Walking through the borgo and along the hiking paths is essential. The spa was also incredible, especially the indoor/outdoor pool overlooking Tuscany, plus the saunas, steam bath, cold plunge, and easy robe-and-slippers access from the room. We also did truffle hunting, which was well worth it: close to the resort, small group, and we found two truffles. A minor hiccup was that they did not have rain boots in every size, but the team handled it graciously afterward. Service was warm and highly capable. The concierge arranged a rental car for a day of local sightseeing, and it was flawless: good price, automatic, GPS, excellent condition, and seamless pickup/drop-off at the lobby. When rain disrupted some of our plans, the concierge and spa teams worked hard to move appointments around. My only notes: activity planning required a bit of follow-up across different teams, so ask for the activity schedule before arrival, and tipping/service charges could be communicated more clearly, especially for dining and spa. Overall, Castelfalfi is stunning, deeply comfortable, and beautifully run. I would return in a heartbeat.

Amazing stay for my wife and I in Tuscany and Castelfalfi is one of the finest hotels. From the moment you walk in until the time you leave everything, your experience is top notch. From the wine tour to the honey and bee experience, I feel they treated us like family. We asked 1 million questions at the concierge's desk and both Agostino and Alice could not have been more affable, kind, and informative. At the restaurant, the manager, Lorenzo, made sure everything was perfect from breakfast to dinner. The housekeeping staff always made sure the room had everything needed was neat and organized. Thank you very much.
