Beautiful, but unsympathetic -if you have a heart attack in your room and I have to go to the hospital, they is no fund

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

No matter what hotel or resort you stay in Montauk most of them are very beautiful. The problem is they usually a minimum of 3 to 4 nights in order to book. You cannot get a room for one or two nights on top of that if there is a hurricane Massive flood, if you have a heart attack in your room or any kind of emergency, you could think of they will not refund your money. I think it’s a bunch of balony and I will never stay in any of those hotels or resource again

Do Not Go!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

We were incredibly disappointed by this whole experience! We were unable to find seats at the beach + either pool due to the fact that the marina guests have access to the entire hotel also which I did not know...there is not enough space for everyone...not even close. Breakfast was messed up both days...one day the wrong order and the next day a produce sticker in the eggs! Our cottage room was not as pictured (there is only one room that fits the picture) the rest are not as updated, with dirty carpets and no view! We were not pleased with the customer service when we asked to leave early due to the continuing lack of service and level of hospitality ... especially when you're paying over $1k for a room!!

Lovely location but sadly didn't meet expectations

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

On the plus side....beautiful location in Montauk and appreciate the upleveled styling (along the lines of Soho House by sea :). We had breakfast and dinner at the hotel which were both good. On the downside....imho it's a 4* hotel charging 5* prices which makes it hard to live up to expectations. Our room was OK/average - view of the car park which felt disappointing given the price of nearly £1,000 per night and erratic aircon which kept switching off. Rooms also very poorly soundproofed and we could clearly hear the group of girls partying next door until the early hours. Pool service incredibly slow - waited 45 mins for each drink and when we tried to get them at the bar we were told we had to go back and wait for poolside service. The $100 per day amenities fee also includes use of the pool - I'd expect that for additional offerings (bikes, paddleboards) but not use of the pool!

Outstanding experience

We stayed at the marina at the MYC club on their mooring for four nights. This stay was exceptional. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. However, above and beyond is the concierge support from Maureen. She really made the stay extra special. She’s a gem amongst an already outstanding staff. They have wonderful facilities with pool, bar, lively music, exercise room, tennis, Padel, pottery class and more. They have excellent outdoor Weber grills and if you’re a fisherman, nice facilities to clean and prepare your freshly caught fish. I wish they had a boat launch service. Perhaps something they can add in the future.

St Montauk? Trying hard, but not quite…

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Endless bass line at 2am (don’t stay in rooms closest to restaurant. The same restaurant that served 2 day old expired caviar which we realized after we were done, served with a metal spoon. Don’t ask people to spend that kind of money and not have the right spoon. 12 mins for a coffee order. The “market” ran out of milk to make coffee. Service is all international staff here for summer really trying their very best. The best part is don’t bring snacks or crack open a soda and try to drink it in the dark. Ants. Everywhere. Even in my pants and all over a sprite can. It’s trying hard to be the instagram image alas, this will not ever be st Barts. I miss old montauk.
