Hotel Hermitage Monte Carlo

My husband and I were celebrating my birthday, retirement from state service, and my new career, in the SOF, and spent 2 weeks enjoying this beautiful area. The highlight was Monaco, and this hotel was one of the main reasons why! I felt fully embraced, seen, and loved by all we encountered! We have traveled around the world, and have had many amazing and unique experiences, but I have never felt so at home and welcome! This hotel is beautiful, filled with art, history, architecture, wonderful service, fabulous food, and a relaxing, peaceful ambience. We especially loved the blue pottery/scuIptures by the elevators! We originally considered Hotel de Paris, but thought HH would be the better fit for our personalities, and we were so right! While their sister hotel may be more well known, I would say HH whispers, while HDP shouts. If loud music and a clubbing see and be seen atmosphere is not your style, if you prefer quiet elegance, luxury and excellent service, you’ve come to the right place. Things we adored and greatly miss - our fabulous room with plush bedding, roomy sitting area, our wonderful welcome treats and notes, the lovely bathroom (I wish I still had my HH slippers at home, they were the best ones of our trip, but sadly no room in our luggage - actually had to purchase a piece at Hermes to fit what we had already acquired on our trip), morning coffee on our balcony, watching the sun rise over the harbor and the little birds swarming far above. The amazing breakfast buffet - one of the best we’ve had. The make your own crepe station is an excellent idea (my favorite is the Nutella). The only thing I might suggest is adding a make your own mimosas station with passion fruit juice/syrup which we had in our lovely hotel in cap ferrat. We loved the new bar Gustave - so very elegant, I felt like we were in Gatsby! Every restaurant we dined in was delicious and lovely, and the service was wonderful. We loved how attentive the doormen were, and thoroughly enjoyed the beach club and the Perrier Jouet garden nearby. The hotel is located perfectly - you are near the action (ie shops, restaurants, clubs, casino) and can walk to and from, but are discretely removed so that the noise is never an issue, nor the crowds. I was on the verge of tears on departure day, waiting for my husband to come down to the lobby with the bellman and our luggage, when the hotel manager approached me, gave me his card, and inquired about our stay. This, above all, demonstrates the level of excellence and customer service this hotel practices.

Good afternoon, I have had a terribly unpleasant experience involving your hotel. I sincerely hope for your understanding and that you will take action. I have extensive experience with high-end hotels—including yours—but this is the first time I have encountered such treatment; it made me want to leave the hotel immediately and never return. A friend and I arrived for breakfast and waited about an hour for someone to attend to us. I tried calling out to various waiters multiple times, but no one would come over. I should clarify that we didn't even want a full meal; we just wanted coffee. I watched as they served others while pretending not to see us. The final straw was seeing them take orders and fully serve tables that had arrived after us. I stood up and politely asked them to take our order. They hadn't even set our table. Then, they brought out a coffee that was only half-full; my friend actually started laughing because it looked so ridiculous and shameful. I drink coffee every day and know exactly what it should look like. I am absolutely certain this was done out of spite. In my anger and confusion, I forgot to take a photo of it for you. I asked for a proper coffee, but after waiting another half-hour, there was still no coffee. I had to get up again! Yet, no one would listen to me. I have never felt so humiliated; other hotel guests were even turning around, confused about what was happening. In the end, I never got my coffee or even had my order taken; we were forced to leave without having breakfast. I urge you to take this matter seriously. If I could, I would check out of the hotel today, but my flight is tomorrow. My morning and day have been ruined because of your waiters, and it is truly disheartening. They are likely delighted that I left breakfast, but I do not want to let this slide.

Big shout out to Dagmar who went above and beyond to make our stay wonderful. The first room we were assigned smelled bit of smoke to us, and she went out of her way to move us (even staying a little AFTER her shift) to accommodate us. Marelle was also very helpful and kind. It's a beautiful hotel with a truly caring staff, and my husband and I would definitely stay there again!

An absolutely unforgettable stay at Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo. 🤍 I completely fell in love with this hotel from the very first moment. The architecture, the interiors, the atmosphere and attention to detail are simply breathtaking — timeless elegance at its finest. The breakfast was exceptional, but what truly made my stay so special were the people. Every member of the team was incredibly warm, kind, professional and genuinely welcoming. You can feel that true hospitality is at the heart of this beautiful place. Everything about Hôtel Hermitage feels sophisticated, peaceful and effortlessly luxurious. It is one of those rare hotels that you don’t just visit — you remember how it made you feel. I’m leaving with the most beautiful memories and already dreaming about coming back. Truly one of my favorite hotels in Monte-Carlo. Thank you for making my stay so special.

My wife and I stayed in Hôtel Hermitage Monte-Carlo for a 3 nights stay, in September 2026, in the Deluxe Room number 572. Room was coisy, comfortable, with a small balcony and view on Hôtel de Paris and Hôtel Hermitage main entrance. We are repeaters in Monaco since many years, usually staying in either Hôtel de Paris or in Fairmont Monte-Carlo, so this was our first stay in Hôtel Hermitage. We immediately understood that it is a real big hotel, with a lot of rooms, restaurants, salons and staff accordingly. Service was really good, following up in case of complain (which was the case once, due to a man smoking a cigar just next to our sunbeds in the pool of Monte-Carlo Beach Resort, which we couldn't support. Cigars smokers should not be accepted or tolerated at all in the vicinity of the pool, the smell of the smoke is just disgusting for a non smoker, and what about for the young kids running around the pool, just next to the diving spot ?). You can use the complimentary SBM black shuttle bus to reach the other resorts, which is very convenient. Breakfast in Eiffel Coupola is truly giving the feeling of getting back in the past, it's an old style area which make you feel comfortable and terrasse is also available, but with smoking people around... We also used the indoor pool of the SBM resorts (photos are not allowed) where temperature of the water is 30 degrees Celsius, with access to sauna and turkish bath, separated for men/women. You can also order small food and drinks at any time, which are really good and tasty, specially for the smoothies. What could be improved in Hôtel Hermitage ? Actually, I found out in the breakfast area, that just above our table number 37, the painting of the ceiling was slowly but surely falling appart... Some renovation works would be welcome. Also, the balcony of our room was getting, let's say... tired with the age ! Some fresh painting on the iron part of the balcony would be a good idea. One point which was not very nice, is when I tried to reach the garden, close to the road, where privat event are being held via the banket team, I was receiving wrong informations from two staffs, telling me that unfortunately, I couldn't go there because there was a private event going on, but when I passed in front of the garden along the road, there was no privat event running... I just guess that the staff didn't want to let me go there to make some photos, for any reason that I'm not aware of. So, by my experience, if you can choose between Hôtel de Paris and Hôtel Hermitage, choose Hôtel de Paris, the location, view, facilities, reputation are to my eyes, better and worth it.
