Le Meridien Beach Plaza

I was slightly concerned about booking this hotel when I read the reviews on Trip Advisor, but found the negatives unfounded, as everything was fabulous. From arriving to the hotel (concierge and reception), to dining in the restaurant outside, all of the employees we spoke to were fabulous, polite, professional and nothing was too much trouble for them. The restaurant service at night was up there with the best we have had anywhere. The wine is super expensive, but then we were in Monte Carlo so had to expect this. The hotel facilities are great, with loads of comfy loungers and parasols by the pools and on the beach. The room we had, a direct sea view one, was spotlessly clean, had a super comfy bed, great pillows and decent quality sheets. The room was spacious as was the well equipped bathroom. The housekeeping team were fabulous too. The location is a pleasant walk to the centre (around 20 mins) or you can get a taxi for €18-21 by asking the concierge or using the Taxi Monaco app, which is just like Uber and very efficient . I would highly recommend this hotel, it was a fantastic place to celebrate my husband's 60th birthday and we are thankful to the team there for making our stay so special.

Pretty average hotel in Monaco, not very high levels of service with masses of people coming in and going out and rooms although refurbished already look quite dated with damage in them and new showers look nice but whole shower floor floods every morning as they weren’t designed well. Good breakfast and pool area, a bit out of the way of city centre about 25 min walk to it. Better value for money than other Monaco hotels but you get what you pay for.

I'm a Lifetime Platinum member on our 3rd stay here over the past few years and I must say we still absolutely adore this hotel. Yes, it's a little dated, but it's spotlessly clean and the staff is amazing. And the pool and beach area are to die for. I used a suite night award and got upgraded to the Presidential Suite. We will be back! Merci!

Be extremely careful if you are planning to book or use your bank cards here! I have never even visited this hotel, yet somehow my debit card details were used here for an unauthorized, fraudulent transaction of €4,009. ​It is alarming how this establishment processes payments without proper customer verification or security checks, allowing stolen or scammed card details to be used freely. If you ever decide to stay here, do not use your online bank cards—or better yet, stay away from this place entirely to protect your money from fraud. My case has already been reported to the police and the bank."

I really enjoyed our stay here. I loved the pool and beach here, very unique setup for Monte Carlo. My only issue was the smelly room, it was a very unpleasant chemical smell.
