Montefollonico is a typical Tuscan hill-top town which enjoys a stunning view on Montepulciano, Monticchiello and Pienza. Montefollonico was a Medieval hamlet which marked out the Siennese Republic border. Cut off from the big arterial streets it has kept intact his structure and its timeless atmosphere after centuries. Today, the landscape all around Montefollonico is the same painted on the canvases during the Tuscan Renaissance age. Montefollonico, therefore, not only is the perfect place to start a visit in one of the most beautiful land all over the world, but it is also the right base for a dive into the past to rediscover the lost time.

My family and I really enjoyed our time spent here. It’s very quiet and serene in the off season. The views were spectacular and the staff were all warm and welcoming. It would have been helpful to have access to drinking water free of charge or an in room coffee maker. If the restaurant is closed it is a bit of a way to another restaurant or grocery so make sure you take this into consideration. I would recommend reservations when possible. The experiences offered here are wonderful. We especially enjoyed the cooking classes!

We had a delightful experience in what we called fairyland! The property is beautiful, the views amazing, the lodging was superb and the cooking class was such fun! We enjoyed traveling to neighboring towns and loved Montefollonico and Montepulciano!

La Chiusa far exceeded even my highest expectations. From the minute we drove up to the beautiful entry way, we knew this was a special place. And, it's not just the physical aspects of the property, it was also the people. You just immediately felt at home and that the staff truly cared about making this the best experience ever. Our room (10) was spectacular (and that shower!). The views were something out of a painting. In fact, when we did go out exploring the other neighboring villages, we honestly couldn't wait to get back to walk the property or hang by the pool. This is a magical place.

This was our second trip to La Chuisa. We could not visit Italy without a few nights at La Chuisa. We had to bring our daughter to show her the beautiful tranquil La Chuisa. The staff was amazing always there to answer a question or help with an excursion. George and Linda are excellent hosts. I always feel warm and welcome. I’ll be back!

This was a bucket list trip ... Italy is the place to visit and the La Chiusa Boutique Inn & Restaurant is the place to experience the TRUE cooking and sightseeing of the area. The Inn was excellent, service was great and the surrounding area was so "Tuscany". The room reservations were a bit mixed up and not sure why, room changes were not what I was expecting ... may need some staffing issues on that situation.
