"We stayed at this resort from July 13th to July 19th. We had a wonderful time. From check in to check out we had a great time. We ate at several restaurants during our stay. The cuisine was awesome from ackee and salt fish, to bammy, bread fruit, jerk chicken, curried chicken, mixed vegetables, plantains, soursop juice (which brought back memories from my childhood), sorrel juice, desserts, and more, we ate WELL every single day. Every staff on the resort was very welcoming and very professional in doing their job with excellence. The resort was relaxing, and we had very good weather. Our excursion to the Bob Marley house was great. Our driver Ian handled the roads up to the mountains well. Our tour guide was very informative as she talked about Jamaica, the culture, the people, the wonderful cuisine and so much more. The Michael Jackson show was awesome too. We had such a great time, and we appreciated the excellent customer service from everyone we encountered on the resort. THANK YOU!" Sincerely Sophia Delva-Saunders

Absolute perfection! Our family visited the Jewel Grande last week and it was amazing! Our room was clean and beautiful, the food was great at every restaurant, and the best part was the wonderful staff. These are the kindest, most accommodating people we have ever come across during our travels! Jermaine is the best! He played ping pong (he’s the champ!) and cornhole with our family and added so much fun to our trip! He is the nicest guy and just so much fun! Special K at the sentry pool bar was awesome too! And Inez at the spa gave me the absolute best foot massage I’ve ever had in my life! The Himalayan salt room at the spa is beautiful! I highly recommend the Jewel Grande!

Two weeks after our stay and I miss it already. We traveled with two adults and a teen. The room was a pleasant surprise...it was huge! We had a full kitchen, although the only provided items were mugs and glasses, so not sure of the point. There was also a full washer and dryer which was a bonus. The fridge was stocked daily, and the room was cleaned well each day. My only complaint is the sofa bed. My son had to sleep on the couch since the pull-out bed was horrendous and could not be slept on. The food: Fantastic! We couldn't stop eating the jerk chicken and had it almost every day. The breakfast buffet was fantastic. I'm not a breakfast food person, and there were lunch options always available (ackee & saltfish and rundown? Heck yeah!) We tried all the restaurants. The Asian (the one that requires a reservation) was mid, but the rest were great. We only waited a bit for the steakhouse. My personal favorite was the buffet which we hit up twice. The curry goat was out of this world. The beach situation varied. The employees work hard each morning clearing the endless supply of seaweed. There was little seaweed in the protected swim area during the second half of our trip. There were always areas without seaweed. Beach chairs were available with umbrellas. Definitely go for a catamaran sail. Our captain was a hoot. The pool entertainment was a blast. If you're not a fan, there's a quiet pool on the other side of the resort. Again, always chairs available. My request to this resort and pretty much every other resort...get more umbrellas! One of my favorite aspects of this resort: Reggae! I'm a huge reggae fan and it was constantly played wherever you went. I was scared of hearing American pop music, but the only time I heard that was during pool entertainment events. Thank you for this! Gripes: Not many. A place to return used plates and glasses would be great. Although they are collected, sometimes they piled up and it's not pleasant sitting next to someone's old lunch. Tips: Bring an insulated cup for frozen drinks and a metal straw. They use paper straws which stink with a daiquiri. Hit up the Hip Strip for souvenirs ($7.99 t-shirts!) and absolutely go to the Pork Pit (best jerk I've ever had).

Fantastic experience, we didn’t want to go back home 🥲 the hotel has absolutely stunning views, plenty of restaurants and bars, neatly maintained beach area, adult and family pools, kids club, nightly entertainment- you name it! We stayed for the first time with our 7 months old baby, and I must say he adjusted there better than at home 😄 we had baby crib arranged in the room, in the restaurants we always had steamed options to offer first solids to our baby, and we had plenty of territory to walk around with the stroller. Our baby boy had his first swim in the pool and sea over there, so it was surely a very memorable experience. Oh, and we loved having a cabana by the beach - highly recommend to anyone out there. The convenience of having own space to rest while enjoying the butler service is totally worth every dime. Also, kudos to the chefs at Le Bouchon, Asian and Waves restaurants - the food was absolutely phenomenal! Buffet breakfast was equally great, plenty of options to choose from, and the little coffee place next to it had delicious ice cream and sweets served all day. We haven’t tried the other venues because of short stay, but I’ve heard great things about the Italian restaurant too. But apart from all of this, I must commend the staff: everyone, from bellmen and receptionists to housekeeping, servers, butlers and security - absolutely everyone had been very friendly, polite and attentive to our needs as young parents. Our baby got spoiled with attention received from everyone, at some point we felt Jamaica felt just like home ❤️ Thank you for this absolutely wonderful experience and we will surely be back!
