I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL TO ANYONE! The service, the room, the limited food options, the lack of communication, everything has been terrible since the beginning of my 2 week stay. The buffet was only open 2 days for dinner out of 2 weeks because they ‘wanted to focus on the service provided at the A la Carte restaurant’, which is only 3 restaurants. I have paid for all inclusive and instead i have been restricted to 3 restaurants for the duration of 2 weeks, which is absolutely ridiculous. The hotel doesn’t not communicate nothing with their guest and the food options being limited. The pools were also closed during our stay. I booked a two bed bedroom and received one bed in the bedroom and then when I have gone to reception to get this rectified, they said that i must pay $400 per night for an upgrade , even though they didn’t provide the room that I had bought. In addition to the bed issue, there was also issues with the light in the bedroom. The spot lights were flickering and dim and the main light and fan wasn’t working. We called maintenance at 2pm on Monday and they said that someone should be with me shortly to fix the issue. Nobody came until 8pm and then said he was coming back in 30 minutes. He didn’t come back to fix the light until 7:30pm Tuesday evening. During this time, I would call reception to receive an update and each time it was that the maintenance man is working on something and he would be with us shortly. Another issue we had with the room, is the damp spot by the bathroom, which would only stay dry if the AC was on. We told maintenance and they had told us that there is nothing that they can do and we should keep the AC on because the damp is due to condensation. I am not sure where the condensation would come from, if nobody has showered or anything. The communication at this resort is ridiculous. Also when going to the A La Carte restaurant, please be ready to be served bread and your drink before your food comes out late. Each time we visited the italian restaurant, we would be served warm bread and would have to wait minimum of 45 minutes to get our food that we ordered. This has been the worst resort i have stayed at in Jamaica and I would never recommend anyone to spend their money here. Please spend that extra and go to the RIU because you will get your moneys worth. Entertainment is dead. No daily schedule. Poor communication. Limited food. This place is not catered for young people, so if you are looking to have a good time at your resort, DONT BOOK HERE. YOU WILL LEAVE DISAPPOINTED!!!

Food service at the Buffet, Orchids is horrendous. Very little variety, quantity, poor taste and quality. If you arrive at the Buffet within 1.5 hrs of closing, about 50% of the food items are finished and will not be refilled. You leaving feeling hungry with few other options. Room service food is horrid and cost $10 for delivery. The Pelican Grill's food is below average, Jerk hut come with dry roll, poorly spiced jerk chicken, no rice or additional condiments. Crickets Grill, each time we went there ( within 1 hr of closing) they ran out of food. This is my second time coming here and I will not be returning. I would not have returned here if this was the experienced I had 2 years ago. I've been to resorts that were cheaper and far better food ( RIU Aquarelle's food was splendid). The food and service was Le bouchon was descent, the staff was friendly and prompt. Overall the staff on the resort were great. I'll not be returning because the piss poor experience with food.

Came here to celebrate an anniversary. Checked in to the room to find a lovely plater of chocolate covered grapes. At the on site restaurants that we had reservation we received a nicely decorated dessert plate. The room was nice an spacious. Stayed in room C501 of the Sentry building. Excellent view of the property and the surrounding sea. The breakfast buffet had a mix of local and international options. Non motorized water activities were available. While all the staff present were professional, some exceeded expectation to ensure our stay was a wonderful one especially chef Calvin and jenelle.

We visited to celebrate our anniversary and it was amazing. The staff treated us so well and we got treated (with cake) at every restaurant. Most relaxing four days I've had all year. Shout out to Calvin from the Pelican Shack; and Shantoya, Tyola and Jodi who served us so well. Very polite, very attentive.

Disappointed

The view of the place is extremely nice and the rooms are beautiful but the food at the restaurants are disgusting . I just came back from Jamaica yesterday and stayed at this resort for 5 days and was extremely disappointed with the food and drinks . The bars never have anything sufficient to make a nice cocktail ! The restaurant Waves need to permanently close because the menu is horrible and the food does not taste good . This is a resort in Jamaica and to my surprise the menu is not balanced with some Jamaican cuisine. Some people actually fly to another country to enjoy the country dishes . The bartender and the staff are so nice but the food is not good at all . The burger and fries station served some oily fries and chicken tenders on 10/6/25 because of course they were out of wings at 12:45pm when they had just opened at 12:30 lml! What a joke for a resort . You pay so much money and you can’t enjoy the food . The juices they serve at the buffet tasted like it came from a juice box ( how you can’t get fresh juice from a Caribbean country that grow their crop naturally ) . If you want a nice room to stay at , this is the place but if you want good authentic Jamaica food and beverages this is definitely not the resort to book with . I give them a 2.5 stars and will be rating them on every social media, google , Expedia ..,. Everywhere because they need to do way better !!!
