We are thinking of you and your loved ones during this terrible time. Jamaica is hurt, but not broken. Together, you will rebuild and rise again. 🇯🇲 Likkle but we tallawah 🇯🇲 I was not going to send this review so soon after the devastating impact Melissa has brought Jamacia but we wanted the staff team to know they are valued, appreciated and their hardworking is recognised. Jamaica 🇯🇲 owes us nothing … from beautiful scenery to clear blue sea and delicious food … it was definitely a holiday to remember 💯 …. I would go back in a heartbeat ❤️. Jewel Grande…AMAZING!!!! We will be back soon 😁 Restaurants- During our stay we were told that some restaurants (mainly the Orchid buffet- catering for everyone - breakfast, lunch and dinner) would not be opened as it was low season with low occupancy. We were staying for 3 weeks, so not happy about having to dine in the same restaurants again and again. We spoke with Team food and Beverage members (Volae, Ewin and Sain). They were very understanding and helpful. They created a menu for us to dine in whatever restaurant and pre order from that menu for us to have that dinner. They did not make it an issue and we felt at ease to order and arrive at the restaurant for them to prepare what we had chosen. The restaurant staff were very friendly and accommodating including the staff from the buffet Orchid and restaurant staff at the Waves, Le Bouchon, Pierside. We had no complaints about our food options and with the food service provided. Sorry, did not get everyone involved names but thank you to Julia Smalls and staff team. Thank you also to the lobby bar staff and pool bar staff for being friendly and respectful. Please note - Breakfast/Buffet restaurant is in building C. Room- We were on the 10th floor (Building C) and our views were beautiful… coming from uk; nothing but breathtaking !!! Our views were definitely a highlight 😁. The balcony was large with lounge chairs so could sit out looking at the views feeling relaxed and alone. The room is a bit dated but kept very clean and comfortable. We were offered room cleaning and beverage stock each day. Room service was also on offer!!! Lobby (Front Desk) staff: Excellent service and hospitality. Thank you for accommodating us so we could stay in the room longer (at a cost) as our check out was at 11am and our transport to the airport would be picking us up at 18:15. Thank you to all lobby staff that supported us with queries. Especially to the young lady ;did not get her name) who helped me with my TikTok video (( 14.6k views and counting 😂🤗). Entertainment- Good but same entertainment each week ( we were there for 3 weeks). We did go out in Montego Bay some night for other entertainment so this did not bother us as much. We have come back relaxed and although back in work mode still thinking about the amazing time we had in Montego Bay Jamaica. We would definitely return to Jewel Grande hotel as they made us feel welcomed, relaxed and accommodating to make our holiday experience special. Ma heartfelt thank you to each of you for your kindness, dedication and passion. Your warmth, hospitality, and unwavering commitment made our time at Jewel Grande an unforgettable experience. You welcomed us and helped us to create memories we will cherish forever. Until we meet again-thank you!!!

We went to the Jewel Grande to celebrate our thirtieth wedding anniversary knowing that there was the possibility of a tropical storm coming. Very quickly it turned into hurricane Malissa while we were there, so I feel so strongly the need to give all the amazing staff at the Jewel Grande so much credit for there professionalism in keeping us all safe, feed with amazing hot meals three times a day, secure in a “safe” area and still providing a form of entertainment to keep there guest minds I’m sure off the unthinkable. The general Manager Jaap Van Dam who kept us all extremely informed when ever any information changed, this man truly deserves a metal for his calm dementor which helped so much. Also a special thank you to Abby, Shelly Ann, and Beyoncé who constantly asked us how we were and if we were doing ok all while not knowing the fate of there own homes and family. We are truly humbled by your hospitality and warmth and will remember you all forever. We truly want to come back to the Jewel Grande as soon as you’re up and running to re-celebrate our anniversary without Melissa and with all of you under happier Cercomstances. Mr. & Mrs. Little .

I visited Jewel Grande on October 23rd for a friend’s 40th birthday celebration, and from the moment we pulled up to the hotel, the experience was nothing short of incredible. The staff greeted us with such warmth, professionalism, and kindness. It immediately set the tone for a wonderful stay. Our room was spotless and had the most breathtaking view imaginable. Every corner of the property offered a stunning view of paradise. We thought we would be leaving before the hurricane, but when all flights were canceled, the hotel and its amazing staff went above and beyond to ensure our safety and comfort. The management and employees moved quickly to put safety measures in place, all while remaining calm, compassionate, and reassuring. They provided us with three hot meals a day, entertainment, and constant support even as they faced their own personal challenges during the storm. Their strength, dedication, and smiles under pressure were truly inspiring. I can’t express enough gratitude for how the staff handled everything. They made a difficult situation feel safe and even comforting. I am praying for every single one of them and their families as they recover and rebuild. The Jamaican people are incredibly resilient, and I know they will rise stronger than ever. I will absolutely be returning to Jewel Grande once they reopen and will recommend this beautiful resort to everyone I know. Thank you, Jewel Grande team you turned what could have been a scary experience into one filled with care, hope, and unforgettable kindness.

I stayed at Jewel Grande for my birthday, and it was absolutely amazing! I had a beautiful one-bedroom oceanfront suite — super spacious, spotless, and with an incredible view. When I arrived, there was a birthday cake and a bottle of Chardonnay waiting for me, which was such a thoughtful surprise. The staff were truly wonderful — friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The food was top-tier, some of the best I’ve had at an all-inclusive resort. What really stood out was how the resort handled Hurricane Melissa. Management moved everyone to a secure building and made sure we were safe and comfortable. They kept the all-inclusive experience going with hot meals, games, movies, and music — even during the storm! I was so grateful for the staff who stayed to take care of us, even while their own homes were at risk. It was my first time in Jamaica, and because of Jewel Grande, it definitely won’t be my last. I’ll 100% be coming back — nowhere else compares! May God bless the staff and the beautiful people of Jamaica 🇯🇲❤️

First couple of days were great but has fallen apart on the next 2 days with 3 to go Beach front villa with own wade pool, had to vacate at 10pm due to internal water in the electrical panel, moved to penthouse on 12th floor where 1/2 the lights don't work stuck in the 60's decor but built in 2010, remodeled in 2016. Staff is great, change that to excellent as always in Jamaica. Buildings are falling apart, paint peeling, can't swim in the 4 ft bay because there is a storm coming 2 days from now, bright sunshine no swell no understanding, food is good in the steakhouse but not in The Pierside, very limited food choices in all the restaurants 2-3 entrees , very limited seating , we are off season and couldn't get into 2 restaurants in seven days, redeeming quality is the buffet is pretty good with great staff, menu changes daily with 30 choices of food and the bar at the main pool is awesome, specifically Maxine. Tipping is not required but we found we got great service and friendship from tipping. Swim up bar closed for major repair ????
