Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

My stay at Auberge du Vieux-Port in Montreal was simply memorable. The location is perfect, the atmosphere is warm, and the property is very well maintained. I would especially like to thank Thierry, who was exceptional from start to finish. He helped me a great deal with the car, took the time to carry my luggage up to my room, and recommended excellent places to visit. He did all of this while always remaining polite, professional, and smiling. This kind of service truly makes a difference and makes the experience even more enjoyable. I highly recommend this hotel and would be happy to return!

Starting with making our reservation, check in, to check out our experience was fantastic. The concierge made our dinner recommendations and reservations. We had best seats in the restaurant! Auberge staff were friendly, helpful and very accommodating. The parking was very easy. I highly recommend Auberge du Vieux-Port.

We came from Quebec City after staying at a boutique hotel (similar size) and also Hotel Frontenac. We really like Auberge because it was unpretentious historic, old but updated. Large room. Warm but not stuffy. Pincette restaurant was excellent for breakfast. Service was very good - no ice machine but quickly brought ice to the room.

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
