Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

My husband and I went away to celebrate my 70th birthday! This hotel is gorgeous and in the heart of Old Montreal! Walkable to everything, including stores, restaurants, the port and the hop on hop off bus Depot. Service is impeccable. The only problem we had with the hotel was the elevator is super super super slow. We were on the third floor and took the stairs most of the time because of that… that doesn’t bother us although some people would find that really difficult.

We truly enjoyed our short stay at this perfectly located hotel in old town. From the great location, clean and comfortable room, very attentive and friendly staff, to the rooftop bar with amazing views we could’ve not asked for more to add to our brief stay in Montreal. We definitely will plan to return to this hotel for our next visit to this beautiful city.

We love boutique hotels and this was no exception. Small, friendly beautify with the perfect location on Old Montreal. Always greated with a Bonjour from the staff who were awesome at all times. We ate at all three restaurants but our favorite meal for the trip was in their French Restaurant Gaspar. Room was comfortable and unique similar to some of my trips to Paris. Will stay here in the future.

We stayed in a river view king for three nights and had a lovely time. The hotel's location in the old town is ideal, as it is close to many restaurants and local attractions. The hotel's decor is also notable, as they've tried to keep the old world charm in their lobby and rooms. By far the best part of our stay was the attentive service. It was my wife's birthday and they sent us a complimentary bottle of Prosecco along with a lovely note for her. On our return from Quebec City we stayed another night in a different part of the hotel and again everything was delightful. The hotel's main restaurant, Gaspar, is magnificent, and I have reviewed them separately. Kudos to the great staff!

The location of this boutique hotel is perfect to explore Montreal. It felt like we were in Paris. Our experience was great both in the hotel and in the restaurant. A special thank you to Bleze for his assistance, he went way beyond what was required in assisting us. The team in both the hotel and the restaurant were exceptionally friendly and helpful at all times. We cannot wait to again visit Montreal and this friendly, helpful and delightful establishment.

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
