Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

The hotel atmosphere is so cozy and special - the details within room, restaurants and lobby are lovely. The staff in every part of the establishment are warm, smiling and so helpful. The location is right in the heart of Old Montreal - walking and wandering was perfect.

A lovely boutique hotel in the best part of Montreal! Reception staff were responsive and able to accommodate our early check in request, valet was timely and so helpful, and the atmosphere was top notch! They also had lovely recommendations for restaurants nearby. Will definitely stay here again!

The Auberg is a non-assuming hotel that looks more historical than modern. We chose it over the many commercial venues because it has a cosy and friendly vibe. The room was spotless, the sheets clean and the bed very comfortable. The toiletries were high-end. We walked bare-footed in our room, it was that clean. On checking out, at noon (very generous time), Thomas offered to arrange a taxi. We said our flight was at 6:30 pm. He then offered to allow us to maintain our room until 4 pm. That turned out to be very helpful because we returned to our room at 3 and then relaxed for an hour before heading to the airport. Thanks to Thomas and toThe Auberg!!! Only problem was we chose and paid for a king size bed on the top floor looking out toward the river. When we arrived, they said the room was no longer available? We were offered two similar rooms on the first floor and a queen bed on the top floor, which we chose. But we chose and paid in advance for the king. Disappointing

Our stay here was amazing! The whole staff was incredibly welcoming and made us feel very comfortable upon our arrival in Montreal. Our valet, Thierry, went above and BEYOND to show us local spots and gave excellent recommendations! 10/10

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
