Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

Oh my gosh the rooms!! We were in two different rooms in two different buildings. They were just beautiful. The staff beyond friendly and helpful. The cafe’ was also excellent. We can’t wait to stay again!

Very clean, comfortable, luxurious amenities ( Fette towels! Robes AND slippers! GOOD in room coffee) and super helpful, friendly staff. Location is excellent, we could walk to all points of interest. Many good restaurants and interesting shops within walking distance as well. Loved the view over the river from our room.

Excellent location and very friendly staff. The staff were also very helpful with us in setting up taxis and other information. Very clean too. It was nice having two very good restaurants attached to it too!

Beautiful hotel and wonderful staff -especially Louise and Jeremy at the desk. Always helpful and tolerated my poor French like I was bilingual! We loved the main floor dinner restaurant-ate there twice with just fab food. We would stay here agin in a heartbeat.

We were so glad that we stayed here during our trip to Montreal. The hotel is charming and our room and bathroom were much larger than we expected. It is a perfect location for walking around the historic district in Montreal and an easy walk to the metro if you are using public transportation. The staff was friendly and helpful.

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
