About the Hotel

Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

I can’t say enough about Auberge du Vieux-Port! Obviously the location can’t be beat, have a look on any map. We chose a loft and it was stunning. The main lobby is beautiful and we had a bite to eat and drinks at both terrace and also the main restaurant. Before you even walk in the door the staff welcomes you at the curb. Believe me, that service is carried through your entire stay. Otman brought in our bags for us as well as took the car to park. Elodie checked us in smoothly and gave us information about the hotel and the area too. She booked us brunch reservations for the Jazz Sunday Brunch as well. We took her suggestions and had some amazing meals while in Montreal. Otman carried our bags up to our loft and he also let us know we could call down for our car to be delivered 24 hours a day - such a bonus in the city. Before we departed we called down and were offered assistance with our bags and our car was brought around and was waiting for us. Do yourselves a favor and book this hotel!!

What a wonderful hotel for a weekend getaway! The hotel’s location is ideal, halfway between Old Montreal and the river. The front desk staff is fantastic and incredibly helpful. A big thank you to Sébastien at the front desk for his help and his great recommendations for restaurants and activities. The on-site restaurants are absolutely fantastic and offer a wide variety of dishes. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a romantic getaway.

This boutique hotel is perfectly located in the heart of Old Montréal. Aesthetically decorated to keep its charm. You walk out the front doors and you are across from the Old port, out of their back doors you walk right into the cobblestone streets lined with restaurants and shops. Luckily we visited during the warmer months so all the outdoor cafes were open and the vibe of the area was great. Our room was very nice, a little bit tiny but we didn’t spend too much time in it. The staff were very friendly always welcoming and helpful.

We had a wonderful stay at the Auberge! The room was spacious and beautiful, exuding the charm of Old Montreal with its exposed stone walls. Louise and Sébastien, the front desk staff, went out of their way to help us find the best places to eat and visit. One thing is for sure: we’ll be happy to come back.

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
