Situated in an historic 1882 building, Auberge du Vieux-Port boasts an illustrious past intrinsically linked to that of modern-day Montreal. Enjoying a close proximity to the St. Lawrence River, this former warehouse lay abandoned until 1995 when it was acquired and transformed into the jewel it is today. Now, this restored Old Montreal landmark offers an optimal location, refined accommodations and prize-winning French cuisine at the intimate Les Remparts.

We stayed in the loft and were very disappointed to discover that it is considered a different property by the hotel, and has none of the services of the main hotel. Room service, for example, is not available. There was no water in the room, no coffee making facilities. The room felt like a sparsely furnished Air b’n b. This room was recommended to us when we phoned to book, and we were not made aware of its separate nature. The manager was unhelpful and rude when we raised the matter with him. Book with care!

An absolute gem of a boutique hotel. The room was stunning with old brick accents and large european/parisian windows overlooking the port

My husband and I spent a relaxing long weekend at Auberge Du Vieux Port. What stood out to us was the warm and welcoming atmosphere created by the staff. Before we arrived, Matthieu, the concierge, contacted us and offered to help us secure dinner reservations. Upon arrival, Thomas, the front desk manager, made us feel right at home. Throughout our stay, he would greet us, ask how we were enjoying Montreal, and offered his personal recommendations. At the hotel's restaurant, Gaspar, we received the same friendly and attentive service. Our server, Coralie, made a list of her favorite places for us to visit. We look forward to returning to Montreal and staying at Auberge Du Vieux Port.

My husband and I went away to celebrate my 70th birthday! This hotel is gorgeous and in the heart of Old Montreal! Walkable to everything, including stores, restaurants, the port and the hop on hop off bus Depot. Service is impeccable. The only problem we had with the hotel was the elevator is super super super slow. We were on the third floor and took the stairs most of the time because of that… that doesn’t bother us although some people would find that really difficult.

In November, 2004, we stayed in Montreal at the Auberge du Vieux Port in Old Montreal. The inn is right on the St. Lawrence in a beautifully restored building in a charming section of the city. Staff were accommodating, friendly and informative in helping us make dining and sightseeing plans. We would highly recommend a visit to the Auberge du Vieux Port!
