Stayed here for 3 nights for a work trip. This hotels location if good and it’s such a small chic hotel it’s ideal. Quiet area and lots to do around at night. I had a good spacious room and was happy with the overall room. It was quiet and clean and that all you can ask for! Didn’t eat here so cannot comment about the food.

We enjoyed a generally pleasant stay at St. Paul Hotel, with a comfortable room and an excellent location in Old Montreal. Unfortunately, our experience was significantly diminished by poor customer service at the front desk. We arrived at 3 pm after traveling all morning to be told that our room wasn’t ready without any explanation. I had to suggest leaving our phone number so the team could contact us when the room became available. After heading out, we returned two hours later having received no call, and the room still wasn’t ready. Again, there was no explanation beyond that it had just not yet been cleaned. When we finally checked in, I asked if we could have a late check out as a courtesy, given the delay, but was told the hotel strictly adheres to check out time. This was extremely frustrating considering what seemed to be a very flexible approach to check in. This would have been a minor inconvenience if it weren’t for another issue regarding payment. When I booked the stay, I called the hotel to confirm that I could use a gift card for part of the payment. I was told this would be no problem. However, upon arrival, I was informed there was no way to apply the gift card. With no apology for the misinformation. I raised both concerns with a supervisor, who assured me I would be contacted with a resolution. Two weeks later, I’ve heard nothing, and I’ve been charged the full amount for the stay despite my following up twice. While the hotel itself is beautiful and really well located, I would caution future guests that the front desk team seems to place little value on delivering a smooth or supportive guest experience.

Had a nice summer stay just ahead of the jazz festival. The hotel is located in a great location in Old Montreal - very close to great restaurants and shops. The rooms are fairly roomy - my room was on the 10th floor and had tall ceilings. The staff was wonderful and always accommodating. The hotel and room itself were odd - I understand it’s a design hotel but I had a weird canopy over my bed that didn’t make sense, the furniture in the room itself had seen better days. Housekeeping was a bit frustrating - never replacing empty lotions or other toiletries.

Friendly staff and great location. Nice bakery right next door, and great sandwiches at Ciccio's down the street. Comfortable bed. I was able to work here a couple of days as well.
