My husband and I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Place d’Armes for a three night break in Montreal. The hotel is in a charming historical building and is perfectly located for exploring Old Montreal. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. We enjoyed dinner in the on-site Japanese restaurant where the sushi was top-notch, and the service was very good despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy. The Hôtel reception staff and valets were welcoming and always helpful. A special mention must go to the concierge Ricardo, who went above and beyond to ensure that we were well looked after. Thank you for making our short stay in Montreal very easy and enjoyable. We would definitely recommend this hotel.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at this hotel, and I can honestly say it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with genuine warmth and professionalism that immediately made me feel at home. The rooms were beautifully maintained - clean, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with everything you might need for a relaxing stay. The attention to detail really stood out, from the cozy bedding to the little touches that made the space feel inviting and personal. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the level of care and dedication behind it. You can tell that a lot of heart goes into making every guest’s experience special. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and just the perfect balance between comfort and quality. Whether you’re visiting for a quick getaway or a longer stay, this is the kind of place you’ll want to return to. I highly recommend it and look forward to coming back again soon!

There is a reason this hotel is Michelin recommended, the staff, quality of our room for sure, and a really good location in Old Montreal. Both hotel restaurants were good. The 701 for its breakfast, as we had dinner elsewhere so cannot comment. The hotels Japanese restaurant was a real treat and we highly recommend it for its authentic cuisine and Sushi. You cannot go wrong staying at this hotel and make sure to connect with the concierge guru, Soso. She is the jewel of patience and knowledge.

We recently returned from a wonderful stay at Hotel Place d'Armes. We loved the convenient location close to all the sights in Old Montréal, the elegance of the historical property, and most of all, the professional and caring staff who provided first-class service with a smile. Ricardo Ugalde, the Chief Concierge, was the highlight of our stay. We were sitting down near the concierge desk soon after we checked in trying to figure out how to spend the afternoon and Ricardo interrupted his meeting to come over and greet us. He planned out an itinerary and recommended Crew, a nearby café in an amazing old bank building, for a late lunch. He also asked us what we would like for dinner, recommended a restaurant that fit our preferences, and made a reservation for that evening. We all enjoyed the excellent food and service at Modavie and really appreciated the talented jazz trio that played during our meal. The second evening we arrived back in our room and discovered a little bag of housemade sweets that Ricardo had sent to us with his best wishes, such a thoughtful and unexpected gesture... Our room was on the smaller side, as excpected from a historical building, but it was perfectly fine for the little time we spent there. The beds were very comfortable, the bathroom was spotless with a large rain shower, and it was very quiet. Our daughter was very impressed with the upscale bath amenities that were provided (I am not really a connoisseur of such things;). The housekeeping staff did an excellent job as well in tidying our room, turning down the beds, and were incredibly quick to deliver a portable fan to the room just a few minutes after my request. We had an issue with the mini bar refrigerator not working, and that was rectified quickly while we were out exploring the city. The front desk & valet staff were very friendly and responsive, and from the first few minutes of being greeted when we pulled up to the hotel and our bags were brought to the room by the personable and enthusiastic Mo, we knew we were going to be well taken care of. We were only in Montréal for a short visit and left as soon as we were ready for the six-hour drive back home, but we were disappointed that we hadn't stayed for brunch at Brasserie 707 the morning of our departure, or had dinner there the evening prior - we'll have to give it a try on a future trip! All in all, I would highly recommend Hotel Place d'Armes to anyone who is considering a charming boutique style property in Old Montréal just steps away from Basilique Notre Dame de Montréal, the Vieux-Port, and other sites. I especially want to congratulate Ricardo for being such a brilliant ambassador for the hotel and going out of his way to take such excellent care of the guests. Thank you for making our time in Old Montréal such a memorable experience!

I wanted to give a huge shout-out to Masta from the valet team. Usually, valet is just a quick drop-off, but Masta truly went above and beyond any expectations I had.

At the Hotel Place d’Armes, we arrived very late one night and had an unbelievable late night dinner at the adjoining restaurant. The hotel itself is very nice and well-maintained, and the rooms were great. I contacted the concierge beforehand and they really set me up with some great advice on restaurants and things to do.
