Exceptional service at an exceptional hotel! Perfectly located within the city, and maintained impeccably. Jakob C on the Gold floor was helpful from check in, to helping with forgotten items, and everything in between.

Hotel was recently renovated few years back, stayed after the strikes the labour union had.. as a result it is very posh modern now and less grandeur unlike the older CP Hotels / other fairmont properties in Canada and how it use to look. Much needed refresh that still looks great! The front desk team were friendly and it is still a very busy front desk and lobby area. The process was fairly quick. The hotel is conveniently located above the VIA rail Transit system and close by to the international airport (22 min drive by taxi). The common areas are clean, modern and spacious. It took a long wait for an elevator to arrive as the hotel was very busy during the Montreal pride and jazz/ music festivities - as a result, very full occupancy and many guests using the elevators. The room was a good sized corner room with great views of the city and basilica adjacent to the hotel. Comfort in bedding, plush mattress and crisp white linens. Le labo “Rose” amenities that you expect at every Fairmont - leaves you feeling fresh. Bath robes in bathroom.. The room had dirty torn towels that seemed to be left over accidentally by housekeeping in the far right corner of the window sill. Overall - the hotel is well appointed, central and a great choice when staying in DWTN Montreal!

Excellent property in a fantastic location. We arrived and left via train, the station is underground beneath the hotel, lending welcome convenience to the trip. The area has many restaurants and attractions including the famous basilica across the street. Rooms are comfortable and well maintained and the staff were wonderful to interact with.

Arrived in Montreal by train but missed the lift directly to the hotel, would have been so handy 🤦♀️ From check in our experience was very good, staff were all friendly and very helpful. Our room was clean and fresh, only (slight) downside was sound from bars but that ended about 10pm. The club lounge was very comfortable, food was good and service excellent. Would definitely return if in the area. Ideally located for exploring.

Beautiful hotel with great service in both French and English. Excellent amenities. Clean rooms and friendly housekeeping. Perfect location to explore. It is even part of the underground city which connects to so much shopping, restaurants and more.

I enjoyed three nights at the Queen Elizabeth in May 2024 and could not have been more pleased, with just a few exceptions. Let's start with the positive first. Every staff person I encountered was extraordinarily friendly, helpful, and kind. The Signature amenities were explained to me without my having to ask. I was greeted by name almost without exception and the person who cleaned my room left me the nicest note thanking me for a tip I'd left. It's those little things that make such a difference.
Everything about the property has been recently updated and it looks great. The fitness center is especially modern and well-equipped. The key cards are wooden rather than plastic -- another small detail that made my stay more memorable. The cocktail bar is hopping with a DJ and inventive cocktails - worth the price in opinion. In terms of location, you couldn't ask for anything better. Just steps away from the main shopping and entertainment areas, metro stations, and railway.
Now a few gripes. I booked a 420 sq ft. Deluxe Room which was supposed to have a view. I was upgraded to a Jr. Suite of the same size, but without a view and felt small. But for a family, it would be perfect because the two rooms are separate and the living area has a powder room. But the view... any room that is on the back side of the hotel looks out over the rooftops of office buildings and nothing more. Be sure to request a room with a view of the Cathedral or the plaza. And... the bathroom was tiny! I mean, really tiny.
The restaurant's buffet breakfast was as expected. Aren't all buffets the same no matter where you are? I ate dinner there the first night and it was excellent, but I never returned because the menu was so limited. Not even a salad! Fortunately, the room service menu offered a little more variety.
Final note: for spa lovers, the Queen Elizabeth has what I consider treatment rooms, not a spa. There is no relaxation room, hydrotherapy circuit, etc. However, the fitness center has a nice pool and Jacuzzi and the large changing rooms have single-sex saunas. I'd rate this property and my experience a 4-1/2 and would definitely stay again.

My whole family loved our stay at the Queen Elizabeth. It is a perfect location especially after taking the train from Quebec to Montreal. Our dinner at The Beaver Club was the highlight of my trip to Canada. It is quite rare when you dine in a restaurant that has lovely ambiance, exemplary service, and food which makes your taste buds jump for joy.

I recently visited Montreal. My stay at the Queen Elizabeth was such a delightful experience I will not soon forget. I highly recommend this hotel. The staff is out of this world, they really make you feel like you are important, like someone very special, they seem to go out of their way to help you. A special thanks to Viviane who works at the front desk, she was so helpful and thoughtful, a real gem. I also would like to thank César who was a great help. They are top of the line. By the way, the food and service at The Beaver Club is excellent.
