I am a Silver Marriot Bonvoy member. I do not usually write hotel reviews but I need to warn the public. We stayed in the Ritz Montreal forv2 nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary. All was well until the first full day in the hotel. We arrived after a whole day of sightseeing and noticed that our bedsheets were not changed after leaving the change card on top of the bed and there were no wee wee pads for our assistance dog (who needs to go to the bathroom) that we requested from the front desk. To top it all when Housekeeping Staff came to our room, they pointed out that placing the change card on top of the bed means No Change in Bedsheets. We thought it was odd. We read the change card after checked-in and confirmed that the card needs to be place on the bed if bedsheets change is needed. BEWARE. We think their system for bedsheets change is deliberate to confuse guests and in addition, we thought that Housekeeping Staff switched the change card to avoid changing bedsheets in a daily basis. This experience ruined our anniversary celebration after spending over $700 USD/night. AVOID Ritz Carlton Montreal by all means.

The Ritz-Carlton Montreal has become part of our annual family tradition. Every year we come to Montreal for the Habs vs. Flames game, and we never even think about staying anywhere else. From the moment we arrive, the Ladies and Gentlemen go above and beyond to make us feel cared for. As parents, one of the biggest comforts is how seriously they take our child’s celiac disease. Dining when traveling can often be stressful, but here it never is. They are knowledgeable, proactive, and make sure every meal is safe and enjoyable. That level of care allows us to relax and focus on enjoying our family time — whether it’s at the game or exploring the city. Every detail is anticipated, from remembering our preferences to providing the kind of genuine hospitality that makes us feel at home. For us, the Ritz-Carlton Montreal isn’t just a hotel — it’s an essential part of what makes our yearly trip so special. Truly outstanding, every single time.

Just wow. We loved Montreal, but the reason we’ll return to Quebec was the experience we had at the Ritz Carlton. Our room was spectacular. The staff was exceptional. The service was, well, the Ritz. Piero at the concierge desk was knowledgable and showed real interest in making sure our one-day experience in Montreal was great. We had breakfast in the restaurant, and it was expensive but worth it.

Went here for a staycation. Great location centraly located and the parking garage is good and accessible. Lobby was charming but lacked seating. The pool was nice and offered a special view of the city. Restaurant was good but the room fell short. It had high ceilings and new bathroom finishes but felt like a closed space the whole hotel and a hard to breathe feeling. Would stay here but if you go to Montreal, you can do better for the price.

My husband and I stayed at this hotel as the last spot on a trip to Vermont and upstate New York. He had stayed here before and had really appreciated the quality of this Ritz versus some of the locations in the US. This hotel is very much in the class of the more formal European locations. We appreciated the location and the restaurant was amazing. I would suggest this hotel for anyone looking for a wonderful hotel that appreciates luxury travel.
