Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile Hotel

The rooms are quiet, the beds are comfortable, and the decor is great throughout the hotel. However, the bedroom air con is annoying. It switches “on”, gets to a temperature, the switches “off”. Then, about 5 minutes later, it switches on. It’s not possible to set the fan to “permanently on”. Also, my confirmation said, “including buffet breakfast” - but there is no buffer, only a fussy à la carte. The staff directed me towards the continental breakfast, which did not represent value. I would stay again - until the Intercontinental reopens.

This is a fantastic hotel located in downtown Montreal just a stones throw away from Mont Royale (the famous mountain from which Montreal got its name) and McGill University. It's luxurious and simultaneously practical. I love this place. The restaurant is great and the Sofitel team go out of their way to make you feel at home. Special thanks to Frederique at the front desk who promptly attended to my queries. I will definitely be staying at this hotel the next time I visit the city. The beds are so comfortable (they even have a sleep menu where you can choose the type of pillow and other items to improve your nights rest), and the rooms are quiet. My experience at Sofitel Montreal positively reinforces my decision to be loyal to hotels within the Accor group umbrella.

Superbly well located hotel near Mont Royal stairs, art museums, restaurants and shopping. The communication with me was proactive and the staff worked on solving an issue - and presenting a solution - before I even knew it was an issue, which really impressed me (regarding room availability being delayed). The recent renovations are high end and the bed was very comfortable. Also we enjoyed breakfast and evening drinks with snacks in the restaurant. Compared to the very nearby Four Seasons and Ritz, this hotel offers nearly the same level of luxury in the rooms, with better value. Status was recognized and I felt seen and welcomed by the staff, who seemed friendly and genuine. Would definitely stay here again! Photos online at the hotels website are accurate.

I have had two incredibly happy stays at the Sofitel Montreal Golden Mile, and it continues to impress. Marc Pichot and his team are exceptionally accommodating, and they all provide genuine warm and attentive service throughout every stay. The touches and personal welcomes are hugely appreciated and I very much notice the attention to detail. The rooms are spacious, immaculate and extremely comfortable, and the housekeeping team is impressively efficient during the day. The hotel’s recent renovation has completely transformed the property, giving it a fresh and sophisticated feel and it is very comfortable. I love both the NINI and Renoir, both of which add enormously to the experience. This is a hotel that truly feels worth it, and I look forward to returning for many years to come - there is nowhere else in the wonderful, fabulous city of Montreal that I would rather stay. Beautiful hotel in the middle of a beautiful city. My husband and I stayed here prior to getting married in Quebec City and it was the perfect spot. The hotel is in a great location that is walkable to so many attractions. The room was clean and spacious and had fancy toiletries (which I always love!). And the makeup mirror in the bathroom was an extra special touch as the lighting & magnification & location were spot on. The staff were so friendly and helpful, and there was special spa water in the lobby each day. The Sunday brunch was beyond amazing and the included continental breakfast was yummy and just enough to start the day. We definitely plan to return and found the room to be of great value.
