Hotel Gault

I think Hôtel Gault is quite beautiful and has an excellent location. I was upgraded to the loft and it was really very comfortable and spacious with every detail attended to. I do think the breakfast situation could be better. For the amount being charged, the feeling of receiving a pre-made plate is a buzzkill. The smoked salmon bagel was OK because it is a bagel, but the oatmeal was really poorly presented. I'd suggest some more thought in that department. Given the hotel's proximity to Bon Marche and other grocery stores, extras such as a pastry counter or a cheese/confits counter would be good additions.

I like the subtle renovations/fixes done. Bed was very comfortable. I'd maybe add a make-up light in the bathroom, though.

Excellent stay- this is such a lovely hotel with truly attentive, kind staff. The room could use a towel hook by the shower, and a few minor repairs (toilet handle, makeup mirror, chip in the bathtub). I had called regarding an outlet near the bed and the during housekeeping, an extension cord was provided and plugged in - great attention to listening and finding a solution. I appreciate it's an older building but these things like electricity near the bed matter for a phone alarm/clock, as there is no clock and no visible outlets. The location is excellent, mind you the stairs are precarious with luggage! The hotel is exceptionally clean - I love the Molton Brown products in common areas - however the Ruby Brown products provided in rooms are not great quality. The library provides a lovely workspace. Gayle in the front of house is wonderful... and all of the staff are really top notch! I can't wait to be back!
