Amazing staff and a beautifully designed room with a private terrace made this stay truly memorable. From check-in to check-out, the service was thoughtful, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. The space was calm, elegant, and perfectly suited for both work and relaxation. Hotel Gault managed to turn a busy business trip into a mini vacation—an ideal balance of comfort, style, and hospitality. I would absolutely stay here again.

A beautiful and well appointed small hotel in a great location. My room was very spacious with thoughtful details and amenities. Couple of negatives. Service is a bit chaotic (other than the valet who is great) and requests took a while to resolve. Second is the cost of breakfast. Hotel guests should be able to get a simple, healthy breakfast for $15 not $30+.

The location was great in a quiet area just a few minutes walk to a lot of the old Montreal and downtown attractions. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Service and food was very good. Our loft room on level 5 was updated, clean and comfortable. I would suggest a second chair as the high-top stools were not that comfortable and also the lighting was very minimal even in the bathroom, we found ourselves relocating a floor lamp to help at the vanity. I liked the modern feel of the hotel but our hallway was quiet stark with missing artwork lending to an almost industrial feel but the rest of the hotel had a good vibe.

The location was good as far as going to Old Town Montreal. We had a junior room and it was large with nice French door windows. The lighting was not good (too dark), the shower was small, and the lounge chair was hard as a rock. It could have used a round table to eat on when doing takeout and another regular chair. The night end tables could have had drawers. The storage was good and I loved the l-shaped desk area. The shower was really tiny and larger folks would find it difficult to move in. Be aware pets are allowed and we did hear a dog crying in the next room when the owners went out. We asked to be put in a quiet area but was on the side of the hotel with a lot of truck deliveries and trash collection. It wasn’t too bothersome though to us. I am not a fan of dogs in a hotel cause when the owners leave they could be crying or barking and disturbing to the surrounding rooms. I wish the hotel restaurant had more food options! The bartender did not arrive till 7 pm on a Saturday night. There also was a teenage birthday party going on in the lobby on Saturday night and we were hoping to go down to the bar area and have drinks by the fire on a cold night. We were told we couldn’t sit in the most charming area of the lobby. I did not appreciate this since we had paid to stay there and should have had access! The room service was good and the breakfasts were good except for one breakfast in which I received burnt black pancakes. Why even serve this? The chef needs to say I goofed and remake them. They were inedible. I would say this hotel needs to beef up its room furnishing a bit and to elevate the bar’s alcohol selection. It was run very haphazardly and by people who seemed not to know their job. I requested a mimosa one night and the champagne wasn’t chilled. Very sloppy but indicative of the fact they don’t seem to care enough to run the bar properly. I would like to reiterate that the staff was friendly, the maids came quickly when you left and the food service was very prompt. Also, the location is next to Old Town Montreal. I would stay here again.
