Le Mount Stephen

Great hotel and fantastic service. The very best hotel that I’ve stayed at.

My wife and I stayed 2 nights at the Le Mount Stephen for a quick weekend in Montreal. We stayed in a king room, which was spacious as we needed and very modern. The bed was comfortable, and lots of room for luggage and amenities. The main entrance was under construction when we were here, so we had to enter through the restaurant entrance of Bar George, which was a little awkward, and exit through the garage. Not the fault of the hotel, but it was a bit strange. The hotel is in a very convenient location, near a metro stop and also close by dozens of restaurants, all within a few blocks' walking distance or closer. The only criticism I have is that the bathroom in the hotel is so ultra-modern with its knobs and controls for everything from the shower to the toilet, is that it took us nearly 30 minutes to figure out how to use simple features. I tend to like modern amenities, but this was a little much. That's a minor quibble, though. Everyone at the hotel was friendly, the staff brought our bags to our room when it was ready, and we enjoyed our stay.

Upscale hotel. Room modern and large. Heated bathroom seats and large shower. Bed comfortable. Staff friendly. .

Location was decent. The rooms were ok. The minibar had old candy. I came for my birthday and they didn’t do anything special. We had coffee and pastries delivered to the room and they didn’t provide napkins or silverware. They didn’t do turndown service one of the nights. For a 5 star hotel it just fell short and was disappointing
