Great location but fell short

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Having been to a few Six Senses, and regularly travel to luxury resorts I have to say unfortunately this one did not hit the mark. Pros - 2 Beautiful private beach’s and great location for relaxation - Customer service aka GEMs who are your guest reps are incredibly responsive and helpful - Beautiful Spa with a wide variety of treatments - Kid friendly if that’s what your looking for Cons - Food is really sub par for a six senses and the breakfast buffet had very little protein meats and variety you’d expect. If your Six Senses, 5 star luxury, your food needs to be 10/10, everywhere. - Staff weren’t as friendly as they should be. There were some who were very kind but few times they would laugh at us for asking for extra requests for our baby. Very disappointing and those instances really ruin a holiday. - CONSIDERABLY overpriced at all restaurants for bad quality food. 35 Euros for 3 small chicken skewers as a main and nothing else (!) Italian was so bad yet they charged 40 Euros for a soggy pizza..! Overall, we had a nice time but we felt like we were being fleeced at every moment, the resort wasn’t fully thought through and felt lazy at times, and it just isn’t up to par with a 5 star resort and Six senses chain. Unfortunately I wouldn’t recommend going, as there are plenty of other resorts that would give you better value for your money.

Beautifull hotel and a very kindness team. We spent a week with my family and we love it. There is a really impressive family beach, with a great staff. The gym it's incredible. Was a really good experience.

Extremely Disappointing Experience — Not Worthy of more than one Star

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We chose this hotel expecting a world class experience. What we got was neglect and indifference. My wife became seriously ill with food poisoning after dining in the hotel’s restaurant on the first night. She was confined to our room for three out of the five days of our holiday — a holiday we’d planned for months. To make it clear, the level of hygiene in the outside restaurant was shocking. It was a beautiful setting but when our fish dish arrived, the waiter leaned in so close to the plate — face nearly in the food — as he checked for bones. He wasn’t wearing a mask, continually wiped his nose on his sleeve mid-service, and the blue medical gloves he put on as he pulled out the bones had been stuffed in his trouser pocket. This wasn’t just unappetizing — it was downright unsanitary and unacceptable for any establishment, let alone one that claims five-star standards. Both my wife and I fell ill at the same time, nine hours after the meal- but she was hit much harder and ended up confined to the room for three days. It was clear the cause was the meal we had that night in the hotel restaurant — the only food we both shared that day. Despite this, the hotel made no real effort to take responsibility, instead trying to shift the blame to elsewhere. There was no concern shown, no investigation, and certainly no apology — just a disappointing attempt to deflect rather than acknowledge what had clearly gone wrong under their roof. What made the situation even worse was the hotel’s complete lack of care or responsibility. Not once did management check in with her on the one day she was well enough to leave the room. No one asked how she was. There was no offer of help, support, or even an apology. For a luxury hotel that prides itself on service, this was appalling. Illness can happen anywhere — but how a hotel responds speaks volumes. In this case, it was clear: they simply didn’t care. We asked for a thermometer and some Imodium but none was forthcoming. We left not just disappointed, but deeply let down. This is a beautiful hotel setting with a small beach (with a mainly Russian clientele.) Be aware that the beach is opposite a huge fish farm and there is a thin film of fish slime over the seawater. The staff work hard to remove the slime and fish debris but it’s off putting. The small pool is left in disarray and needs staff to look after it. The larger pool is beautiful. The positives of the hotel however were all let down as it was not five-star service. It wasn’t even basic human decency. This experience was especially shocking given the reputation of the Six Senses hotel chain, which claims to prioritise wellness, care, and exceptional service. We received a two night refund after emailing and messaging the hotel to chase it up and on departure we had to explain why we were refusing to pay for the meal which made us unwell. We won’t be returning — and we won’t be recommending it.

Amazing place

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

An incredible experience, an idyllic location, unbeatable service, a place we will definitely repeat. 3 beautiful beaches with restaurants. They take care of you at all times, offering exquisite service with always smiling faces. Delicious food, a large gym with plenty of machines, and a spa with highly professional masseuses. You move around the grounds in buggies that are very efficient when requesting them, and you have two contact people for anything you need: Taha and Bushra, super professional and charming. we have been very happy there!!!
