The Taj Mahal Palace

This hotel was on my bucket list of hotels to stay at. As a landmark in Mumbai and located opposite the Gateway and close to Colaba causeway and on Marine drive it was a good choice. Our welcome was efficient. The foyer n staff were great. But, it’s a busy busy hotel. Swarming with people constantly and there was a conference on. I loved the decor and the look and feel of it. You got that whole British Raj feel n look. The outside pool area is lovely and Aquarius offers excellent food and a varied menu. There are 3 restaurants- Wasabi, Loya and Golden Dragon - First two were very good. I was not impressed with the Sea Lounge for breakfast- I found service lacking and the selection and the food quality. The Shamiana was much better but very NY deli vibe. Extensive selection but again very very busy. This hotel and the area outside is very very busy.

The stay included feast of exquisitely designed interior throughout the hotel, a perfect blend of room design and crafted for a rejuvenating stay! The cuisines had apt variety to satiate all foodies. The history tour with Adil. touched hearts and was a jewel in the crown! We enjoyed out stay to fullest!

This stay was my third time in one year. I continuously picked the same Taj Mahal Palace Hotel because of the high quality of professionalism and well-maintained rooms. I recommended to other colleagues as well. The greeting was always warm, welcoming and wonderful. I was hoping to meet Shivani again as the last time we met, she had showered me with kind words and exchanged meaningful conversations that left a longing to come back to the hotel again. And she was the first person that greeted me again! Shivani checked me in for this last stay. What a coincidence. My wish came true. As usual, she and her Manager greeted me and my colleagues warmly and with such grace to welcome us from Singapore and Indonesia on the night of 30 June 2025 (midnight of 1 July 2025). Shivani truly represents the values and vision of what Taj Mahal Palace aspires to be: World Class Hotel for All people (including dogs and other animals). Shout out to Mr. Adil as well for the excellent hotel tour. My heart goes out to you for the loss of lives of your colleagues in 2008. Thank you, Taj Mahal Palace, for the wonderful and impactful experience.

Great service, with an Taj stamp of excellence, highly recommend checking out Shamiana, and other dining options , also do not miss the heritage walk, one hour tour of the palace.
