Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

The Taj Mahal Hotel lives up to its name and its description as iconic, luxurious, historic, elegant, opulent, spacious, central, and attentive. We experienced all of the above during our stay here with my elderly mother. I think there's more staff than the number of guests which ensures first class service. The beauty of this Hotel is that everyone is welcome. It's more of a monument rather than a Hotel with all the hustle and bustle. I'm naming a few staff who made our stay very special by giving us their attention and going that extra mile. Starting with Rishab in Reception. I understand he's the king of guest relations and I copy that. Check in was smooth. He took a photograph of my Mum and I and surprised us with a framed photo in our room and other little touches like fresh flowers, an album of the Taj hotel and very unique gifts. There was always a surprise awaiting us in the room. We were also given extended check out time to give my mother some extra time in the room before our flight. Then there was Sweety in the Pool area who always greeted us with a smile and made us comfortable. Breakfast everyday was in The Souk with beautiful views as on the top floor. Sagnika welcomed us every morning with a smile and personally took care of our requests. Nothing was too much trouble. Then there was the awesome Chef Amit who surprised us 3 days in a row with different varieties of halwa like Badaam, Fig etc. He always made an effort to engage with us and ensured we had everything we needed. Then there was the housekeeping, security, lift, swimming pool Teams and all the elegant women and men staff members in their beautiful attires keeping a keen eye on the guests to ensure everyone was well looked after. Highlight was the Hotel Tour with Percy which almost lasted a couple of hours. I loved this Tour and helped me understand what makes this Hotel tick and it's connection with Mumbai..the city of dreams. It's seeped in so much history and it was a privilege to be a part of this history. We enjoyed walking the corridors and looking at the photo gallery of all the famous peple who have been guests at the Taj. The boutiques in this Hotel are a real treat. We enjoyed the High Tea in the Sea Lounge and spent many an hours by the beautiful pool side sipping cocktails. We will return to this hotel again as whilst we were there, the front entrance was closed due to some local protests and we did not get to see the grand entrance. But then this means we will return again. Missing you already dear TAJ Mumbai.

Amazing stay at Taj. We stayed at the start of August for few days and the service was so good we came back and stayed again at the end of August before flying back home to the UK. We were given amazing service and a welcoming fit for the royal family by Abeer and Vandita. Exceptional customer service and treated us like family and not customers. I have stayed here numerous occasions since 2007 and this was very memorable and my kids absolutely loved it. For a family stay, I would definitely recommend the Taj Hotel Mumbai. We stayed in both the Tower and Palace. Palace is alot more quiet and more suited for the elder and has a bath tub for kids to relax in and play with bubble bath. The Tower is more chilled and lively and rooms are lot more spacious and more light and a balcony you can use. Breakfast at the Taj can not be beat anywhere. Amazing service and variety and when staying, breakfast is a must and experienced. The swimming pool is clean and maintained. Kids loved it. Take your own armbands or safety vests for kids and non supplied. If staying or booking, ask for Abeer or Vandita. From our experience it is well worth it and they would definitely accommodate any issues you have and make your stay amazing

My stay at the hotel was truly comfortable and memorable. A special thanks to Dhruv and Sandeep, who went out of their way to help us identify the best room suited for our needs. Their thoughtfulness and support made our stay even more relaxing and enjoyable. I truly appreciate the warmth and care shown throughout our visit and hopefully in next trip finding Cafe in front of hotle lobby to getting coffee break 😇
