Consider yourselves in good company when you check into the Taj Mahal Palace. With its fantasyscape of Moorish, Oriental and Florentine styles, this architectural marvel has welcomed Maharajas, kings and presidents since opening in 1903. Along with panoramic views of the Arabian Sea and the Gateway of India, this spectacular Mumbai landmark boasts vaulted alabaster ceilings, onyx columns, hand-woven silk carpets and a magnificent art collection whose dazzling pieces range from Belgian chandeliers to Goan Christian artifacts.

We had the most memorable anniversary celebration at the iconic Taj Mahal Palace from 22nd February to 23rd February 2026. From the moment we arrived, everything was simply perfect. The special anniversary decorations in our room were beautifully arranged and made us feel truly special. The cake arranged by the hotel was delicious and added a lovely touch to our celebration. Thank you so much for the thoughtful arrangements. The Taj Mahal historical tour was absolutely fascinating — learning about the rich heritage and legacy of this legendary property made our stay even more meaningful. The e-carriage tour experience was also wonderful and unique. Breakfast was outstanding with a wide variety of options, and everything was fresh and tasty. Most importantly, the staff was extremely friendly, warm, and attentive throughout our stay. Their hospitality truly reflects the Taj standard. Thank you for making our anniversary so special and unforgettable. We look forward to visiting again soon!

It was my bucket list, dream come true to stay in Taj Mahal Palace. As 10 year old, whenever, I used to visit 'The Gateway of India', I had urge to stay in The Taj Mahal Palace (As it felt as Architectural Wonder). Had wonderful experience during our stay. Room is well lit, energetic in vibes, spacious. The Lobby is wonderful, exciting, happening always. Breakfast at Sea Lounge, Next to The Gateway of India, is excellent place to relax to unwind the morning.

Let's start with the good: hotel has so much history and the property lives up to it. Public spaces (hallways, pool area, restaurants, gym) were all beautiful and maintained very well. Room was equally the same - beautiful as well (except maybe could use a little improvement with their cabinetry). 90% of the staff were warm and hospitable - living up to the reputation of the brand. Restaurant staff as well as the Taj Club Staff were very good. I even remember one restaurant staff teaching us about all the different street foods of Mumbai - and bringing to our table everything who could find in the kitchen for us to try. If there's one thing I will do in my next trip is to make sure to remember their names and write them down because I really believe that they should be mentioned and recognized by management. They make stays so much more memorable. The not so good: Checking-in (Feb. 14 at around 11 pm) was a little less smooth than expected coming from a long flight. It was a little slow only to find upon getting to our room that we were given a class lower than what we originally booked. I called front desk and all they said was that they didn't realize that I was assigned to this room, etc. Not even an apology. They gave us club access (which we don't really care for) and promised to move us the following day to our booked room class. Obviously a little disappointed by this time. They did sort of make up for it as we were extremely happy with the room they transferred us to which was more of what we imagined our stay in Taj Mahal Palace Mumbai to be like. On our last day, I requested for a 1 hour late checkout. I could've been happier if they just politely said that the hotel couldn't accommodate our request instead the lady at the front desk gave us a problem saying that the roads will be closed because of Macron's visit in Mumbai, etc. Sort of implying that we should leave on time to avoid the road closures which by the way really wasn't a problem. Anyway, I would still stay at this property in my future visits to Mumbai I just hope that there front desk team improve their quality of service. Don't get me wrong, majority of the staff we met have been nice. There's even this one lady who unfortunately we forget to get her name who was extremely nice to us. We will be back and hopefully by that time, my review can be updated to excellent.
