Chose this hotel because it was affiliated with AMEX and I expected a luxury experience. It was my friends first time traveling internationally and I wanted it to be special. Start to finish, we felt as though the staff while friendly didn't care about us. Breakfast was included and the first day we got there they sat us down asked us what we wanted to drink and seemingly forgot what we wanted because 20 minutes later, no beverages so I had to track down a server because no one came to check in on us. The breakfast is actually a really nice buffet but there is a menu to order from for additional food which no one told us about (it's in a box in the center of the table). We wouldn't have been able to order it anyway as no server came up to us without us having to grab them. Several similar incidents. Overall, would be a non issue at a 3/4 star but incredibly disappointing in a 5 star hotel and I am beyond frustrated that this affected my friends first international trip. The bathroom is a toilet. Literally on the left when you enter the room there is a door with JUST a toilet. Then weirdly the center of the room has a makeshift bathroom (the sink is here in case you wanted to wash your hands before you leave the bathroom you can't). There are two see through sliding doors creating a semi closed off sink and shower which isn't private. The "wall" is a glass wall which you can close some shutters on but not the see through sliding doors and super uncomfortable when it's two friends staying there who can inadvertently see something they don't want to see . The A/C didn't work. Can't decide who designed these rooms but comfort and privacy were not considered. A joke for a 5 star hotel.

We stayed for 2 nights and it started already with the info that both rooftop bar and main restaurant are closed both Sundays and Mondays, not acceptable for 5* hotels in any circumstance. Andaz Suite big but flawed design: huge hallway when you enter but not usable at all: no closet or drawers, just some weird small shelf space where you can actually not put anything. Then stains all over the walls, no proper heating, small washing basin in separate bathroom toilet but no soap dispenser or towels. No towel racks or hangers for bathrobes and the dressing is for clothes hanging face front, not sideways which is a big waste of space. Upon checkout we were asked to pay the prepaid room again. So average is really a good review in this context, can be much better!

The front desk staff were super friendly, and the managers introduced themselves. They constantly asked how they could help us and gave us great insights and directions. The room was very modern and comfortable. The restaurant called the Lonely Br occoli was really neat. The restaurant staff are super friendly as well.

Modern hotel with spacious rooms for a European hotel. Beds are incredibly comfortable; nice shower. Rooms could use more lighting, especially over the desk (as this hotel serves business travelers). Breakfast at the restaurant is very nice but would be helpful if it opens before 7 am on weekdays.

My wife and I stayed in a Suite at the Andaz over 7 weeks Nov/Dec/Jan , because our daughter who resides in Munich gave birth to our first grandson. Our son and his wife, as well as my brother with his family also visited and stayed at the Andaz for a few days. From the moment we arrived, the whole team treated as super nice and professional, making everything we requested possible and bending over backwards to please us. Although there were some minor incidents, these were dealt with professionally and satisfactorily resolved. All in all a fantastic customer experience thanks to the Andaz staff! We are surely missing many names but our super special thanks go to (no special order) : Lisa, Chiara, Andrea , and Gregory from the Front Desk…and, of course the managers Balu, Olivia, Isabel and Kim Johannes, Lilian, Josephine, and Sofia at the restaurant, plus the chef Maria and many others…
