Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor

Not a family hotel. Stayed with my son for 5 nights and was travelling solo. Pool and room exceptional. Attitude of some of the staff (male) and willingness to go the extra mile to help someone in my situation was sadly lacking. Male receptionists prioritised rich looking pushy couples and we were left feeling invisible a couple of times. Lemonade in the mini bar day 1 turned to water during the week. 8.5 euro for a small glass of milk I’d visited reception to get…for an early flight and breakfast for my son in the room….a little steep. Little things could have made a huge difference.

Wow. The rooms are incredibly spacious. The junior suite was incredibly well appointed with all of the modern luxuries like automatic lights and powered blackout shades and blinds. Very clean, very comfortable. The roof deck is not to miss, the food and drinks up there are great. Didn't expect to have fantastic short rib tacos in Germany but we did. The truffle flatbread was also excellent. We had a few hiccups along the way, but staff was always great about correcting. Vaselius, the assistant manager, was especially helpful. Although the hotel is a bit out of the City, cabs are readily available to all the major attractions. We wouldn't hesitate to stay there again.

Amazing hotel and staff. The service and cleanliness were 5 stars all around. I will definitely be returning with my family. Well done, Andaz!

Location of the Andaz is very convenient, Atmosphere at the Hotel is fantastic, Rooms are spacious and super comfortable, Good Value for Money. Rooms and all areas of the hotel are very clean. Breakfast is Delicious, Service at all levels is fantastic and super friendly.

Having been to many Andaz properties around the world, I was pleasantly surprised by this one in the outskirt of Munich. Getting to the hotel from the airport was a bit of a challenge by bus, however, it's only 30 minutes by Uber. We were upgraded to a one-bedroom suite as a Globalist and they sent up a local beer as a welcome amenity. Mohamed and Giulia warmly greeted us at the front desk and Ronja assisted us with our luggage and offered some suggestions for local places to visit. Two things stood out at this property. One is the expansive and amazing spa and indoor pool. We spent a whole morning using every facility including the aromatherapy steam room. We wished we had a tour of the spa because it was so huge. Second, their breakfast spread and quality rival Park Hyatt. We arrived just 10 minutes before they closed, however, Thomas and Ana provided us with gracious service. They had the most wonderfully cooked ala-carte dishes along with a generous buffet spread. I will return just for the spa and breakfast! Tip for shoppers: There's a lovely boutique called Tiger of Sweden just outside the hotel for both men and women.
