Near Perfect!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

This is our second time staying at this hotel. I love this hotel. I really do. The staff is kind and helpful, the hotel itself is generous, and I can't think of many complaints. Upon arrival, we were tired after an international flight. The location of the hotel makes it easy to take a long walk to "revive" yourself. There is a really good asian (fusion?) restaurant, italian restaurant, playground (!!!), and drug store nearby. This helps so much when traveling with family. When we arrived, the person checking us in gave us drink tix (this may be because my mother is a Hyatt Globalist, but I am not certain). Even without those, they offer an excellent happy hour daily. Free wine/beer and local snacks. You are just treated so well here. Best breakfast too. Like our last visit, my only real complaint is the bright lights in the bathroom that light up the entire suite, which could potentially wake up any roommates. Otherwise, this hotel is near perfect. We hope to stay again soon!

Excellent food and service, will be back!

Truly exceptional staff and service. Exceeded my expectations on that front. Food in the restaurant was also fantastic. I've stayed 70+ hotel nights this year across some of the best properties in the world and the service here compared to higher end hotels like The Montage and Peninsula. Was quite impressed and will absolutely stay again when back in Munich.

Great stay in Munich

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

We had a great stay here over Oktoberfest in late September 2025. Everyone we encountered was very nice and helpful. I really enjoyed the location being a little bit removed from the core of the city. It felt more like you were really in munich, not just a tourist. Having the tram stops right outside the hotel was really convenient once i got the hang of the transit system. The lobby, common areas, and rooms were really nice. The "not so good": - The rooms are really nice, but the layout isn't great for multiple people. Everything is very open so if you need to turn on a light at night to wash your hands, the whole bedroom is illuminated. Also if you were sharing a room with a friend, the wide open shower might be a little odd too. - The breakfast price seemed so crazy i had to ask multiple times before i believed it. €44/person, so €88 for a couple to eat breakfast! The coffee shop, bicicleta, was really good for coffee and a ham croissant instead, but it would've been nice to try the buffet. Not at those prices! (we also walked down to another restaurant that was really good as well, Familienbäckerei Kistenpfennig. - The idea of the happy hour is really nice, but they need some more snacks. Also the beer was all foam one night. Still really appreciated having this though. We'd absolutely stay here again.

The Andaz Hotel is fabulous! Service was outstanding, our room was magnificent and the hospitality by all the staff members was quintessential. When we return to Munich we will definitely return to the Andaz hotel.
