A home far away
As an art dealer, I travel all over the world and generally choose the leading hotels. In Munich, in my opinion, that is the Bayerische Hof. Situated right in the city center, it allows you to take care of everything on foot—the opera, art exhibitions, dining, and so on are all within walking distance. The hotel itself houses several restaurants, offering everything from Bavarian cuisine to excellent Michelin-starred dining. The staff make me feel right at home. My day begins with a swim at the Blue Spa, high above the rooftops of Munich. It is one of the very few hotels worldwide that delights me so much and welcomes me with such warmth. I am more than satisfied. Thank you.

A concierge who goes over and above
A great grand dame in the best location in Munich. Love the pool and the spa and the wonderful Michelin Star restaurant. A special accolade to Jan Garte, their excellent concierge who managed to find my misplaced jacket. Thank you Jan! Great service all round.

Truly exceptional!
Returning to this historic grand hotel after 19 years was an absolute pleasure. The elegant renovations by designer Axel Vervoordt have elevated the property beautifully while preserving its timeless character. We enjoyed a truly world-class dining experience at the Michelin-starred restaurant Atelier, conveniently located within the hotel. The charming Director of Accommodations, Herr Mertl, made our stay especially memorable with his gracious hospitality. Thank you to the entire team for a wonderful and unforgettable experience!

A splendid, welcoming hotel with impecable service!
We recently stayed at the Bayerischer Hof and had an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed. We were greeted by the lovely Luisa, who arranged two beautiful rooms with city and garden views. She couldn't have been more accommodating and even personally escorted us to our rooms. After settling in, we enjoyed a coffee in the elegant lobby before heading up to the spectacular Blue Spa Bar & Lounge on the rooftop, where the breathtaking views over Munich's Old Town were unforgettable. We also had the pleasure of meeting Michael, a true star concierge. He arranged dinner for us that evening at Trader Vic's, one of the hotel's excellent restaurants, and provided wonderful recommendations for exploring Munich. He mapped out walking routes to the Marienplatz, Frauenkirche, Residenz and the English Garden. He also suggested several authentic Bavarian restaurants, and even planned our itinerary so we could first enjoy a beer at the iconic Hofbräuhaus. His attention to detail and local knowledge truly enhanced our visit. I also wanted to see a hairstylist while we were in Munich. Not only did Michael arrange the appointment, but he personally walked me there and made sure I was well taken care of. That level of thoughtful, personalized service was incredibly special. What impressed us most was that such a large, renowned hotel could still provide such warm, personal, one-on-one hospitality. It is truly remarkable and sets the Bayerischer Hof apart. We highly recommend the Bayerischer Hof and would especially like to recognize Luisa and Michael for making our stay so memorable. We can't wait to return!

Number One
Of course still the Number One in Munich. Central location, perfect for walking. Very kind and competent staff, keen to help you. Processes work like a Swiss clock, yet still there is this human touch that you do not want to miss in a five star Hotel.
