I stayed here with my wife as part of my 60th birthday celebrations, to enjoy Munich before departing for the Bavarian Alps and we chose well; an excellent city centre hotel on a prestigious avenue near all the major city centre sights. The rooms were immaculate. The food and drinks superb. The staff are truly exceptional. It is a very busy hotel with lots of arrivals/departures each day but the staff managed to make us feel like truly valued guests. The hotel lifts, stairs and layout is engaging and we had fun, enjoying our stay.

Stayed 4 nights during our 3 week holiday around Belgium, Denmark, Germany & Switzerland staying at 5 star hotels along the way. Luxury Kempinski hotel on the luxury shopping strip in Munich. Beautifully appointed throughout. Entrance foyer is an eye catcher and sets the tone for the whole hotel experience within. Breakfast offering a little expensive compared to other hotel breakfast offerings on our trip so we chose to breakfast outside of the hotel. Good size rooms. Comfortable beds. Staff attentive and professional.

Not what one would expect in a 4 Seasons hotel Reception staff poorly trained, inefficient. A suite with very low ceilings and tiny windows overlooking an "inner courtyard" which is nothing but the ugly roof of the (first ?) floor, messy looking and covered with weeds. How hard would it be to plant some vegetation or flowers? Dirty wall above with peeling paint. Terrible pillows. Only 2 per person in the room. A thick (4-5cm) hard foam, unusable and 2 filled with feathers, which compact to a 1cm thickness. Room service staff turns up with a hard 2cm foam alternative but doesn't speak any English. Promises to send back supervisor who never comes. Very bad TV reception. Numerous channels pixillated. Yes we can use our Netflix account but we need an Apple TV gizmo, at a 250 euro deposit to which we agree. It is never delivered. Very smalliny bar for a hotel of this size, overcrowded. We try twice but can never find a table, despite several empty "reserved ones". Poor system, we go to have drink elsewhere. Bathroom exhaust fan not working, making the room musty. The promised maintenance person never turns up. Needs improvement.

One of the best hotels in terms of stay , location and staff behaviour across all areas . Great rooms . Great food . Great ambience . One the best locations if we want to shop high fashion , regular fashion , restaurants , marine platz . It was so good that we have decided to come back after 3 nights of stay from our further holiday at Zermatt back to Munich again to enjoy the last lap of our holiday with extended family members now again from 29 th July to 2nd August

Just steps away from all of the busy attractions in the city is this beautiful and quiet property- like the city, it has both a cosmopolitan and charming feel. Our suite was spacious and immaculately clean but due to the noise from the guests in one of the larger suites above (spanning an entire wing), we moved to another suite in a different wing for the remainder of our stay. The first suite was decorated in a soothing beige contemporary style but the second suite was like stepping into the past, akin to one of the rooms at the Munich Residenz- so exquisite and lovely with tall windows overlooking Maximilian Street. Kudos goes to manager Sina who helped make our visit so enjoyable and all of the kind staff, from housekeeping to front desk and the breakfast room.
