Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten Kempinski Munich

As always a wonderful stay. We have lost count of how many times we have stayed here but the wonderful service and attention to detail keeps bringing us back. It is also nice when staff members recognize us and warmly welcome us back. The breakfast buffet is wonderful and we always appreciate the variety. The location is great and we would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and good proximity to the Altestadt.

Very disappointing experience and definitely not what we expected from a Kempinski hotel. We booked multiple rooms and suites and paid a significant amount, yet we felt no appreciation or proper guest care. The rooms were not worth the price, and the management’s attitude was the most disappointing part. We were constantly approached at the pool because our children were playing and jumping, as if children were expected to remain completely quiet while swimming. We were also threatened with a €200 charge because the children used washable colours on a pool-area wall, even though they could be removed with water. For a five-star luxury hotel, we expected far better service, professionalism, and understanding—especially for families. Unfortunately, we would not return or recommend this hotel to families with children.

The hotel has an amazing location. Walking distance from the market and the restaurants. If you plane a short stay in Munich this would be ideal. but don't book a suite or pay for a suite as there understanding of a suite is different from the rest of the world. We booked a junior suite and got a regular room awfully designed. Just get a regular room or deluxe room. They name their rooms suites and deluxe and premium but they are all the same. We got 3 rooms with different names and they are all the similar. Check in experience was weird, they welcome you with champagne but before that you will have to wait 15 min for the next available staff to check you in. I think in their minds they are doing a good job but in actuality they are keeping you waiting as the other guests are sipping Champagne and wasting time while the line keeps getting longer. What added to the insult is they offer to walk the guests to their rooms while totally ignoring the long line waiting to check in. They offer a very nice breakfast and the pool is nice. I will not spend more than 300 euros on any of their rooms.

We loved this hotel. There was some sticker shock but turned out to be well worth it. The location is great - walkable to Residenz, Hofgarten, tons of high end retail, Deutsches Museum, Eisbach surfers, etc. We had two rooms and they were very different which was interesting - one more traditional with smaller bathroom, one more modern and less charming with a bigger bathroom. We liked them both - good closet space, comfortable beds, great water pressure. The pool area is gorgeous - no kids after 4pm - go up and sit outside on the balcony if the weather is good. Heavenly and great views! Sauna is naked and coed. The lobby is bustling. The crowd is very international - lots of families - sort of like Mayfair including all the insane cars pulling in and parked in front. We ate at the attached restaurant - excellent food and service. Turndown service and daily housekeeping. I would definitely come back here!

Very old school property right next to the Old Town. Room was dated, scuffed, peeling paint, but comfortable--shower was incredible/modern. Bit of a maze of rooms/hallways. Breakfast was excellent. Not wild about the six different Porsches and exotic cars parked out front for no discernible purpose, and the front door staff/valets were always there, always dressed in uniform, but never actually helpful with doors/bags. Booked with AmEx FHR- definitely disappointing on that front, but it wasnt a bad stay. Just alot of emphasis on show and tell, when they should invest in refreshing the property.
