Al Bustan Palace, A Ritz-Carlton Hotel

We stayed one night at Al Bustan Palace to celebrate our anniversary. The welcome was warm with fresh fruits, a cake and small decorations waiting for us in the room. We stayed in an Ocean/Mountain View room on the 6th floor. This gave us a lovely view. The balcony was enjoyable but due to the summer weather we did not spend much time out there. The hotel is famously renovated every 10 years but keeps the retro vibe. This makes the space feel clean, and modern but also nostalgic. The pool was a highlight. The cold water was perfect for a hot day. The beach was clean with plenty of places to lounge. The staff is attentive at the pool and beach providing blankets and water. You can order food, non-alcoholic and alcoholic drinks from the cabana. There is a private women’s only beach, but I did not visit. I enjoyed a deep tissue massage at the spa and it was worth every penny! Again, the staff is attentive and provided a relaxing experience. The masseuse was a female and the spa requires the patron to use the same gender. They provide an option for couples massages but we did not do one. We ate at The Pavilion and the food was lovely. R had fresh caught fish, and I had steak. With drinks, (wine and a cocktail for me and a beer for R) along with soup and entrees our bill was a little surprising, so be cautious because the bill can grow especially with alcohol included. The lounge is a nice space to sit and relax before or after checkout. Overall our time at Al Bustan was amazing and we would absolutely recommend.

Location It's far from the main sites. It's worth it for the offerings. Uber does not serve Oman so you have to take taxis. Entrance Very friendly staff. Beautiful entrance. Check In Great staff who got us an excellent room. Lifts It's complicated depending on where you are staying. Getting to your room can take a long time. Be sure to use the bellmen. Room Spectacular. Roomy, plush, elegant. Ours had a door open to the pool. Restaurants Expensive. Service was bad and the food was not great (for lunch). Amenities Beautiful pool, shops, water activities, etc. Conclusion Incredible property. Would definitely stay here again

A luxurious escape to a 360 degree view of an emerald Arabian Sea and mountains. The Al Bustan Palace is simply stunning…we stayed at the lagoon suite. Favorite meal was at the Pavillion. And the best part was the calming swim in the Infinty pool overlooking the ocean. If your visiting Muscat Oman you need to stay here

Our two week stay was beyond expectations. From our initial check in at midnight until our check out at 2am two weeks later, we were welcomed warmly and made to feel valued by all the staff who were able to answer queries, who always had the time to chat and who made sure we were comfortable and having a good time. The hotel itself is stunning. The room we had (328) was large, well appointed and comfortable. It had a great sea view though the balcony area is very compact. We had an issue with the shower floor draining and evening turn down service being inconsistent but this was dealt with promptly. The food in Al Khiran restaurant was amazing. So much choice and all beautifully presented. The restaurant staff (Ali, Salin, Nizam,Adnan) and all the others whose names I cannot recall, were always cheerful, helpful and often shared new foods for me to try. I cannot thank them enough. The beach was clean and soft and the pool area was lovely especially in the heat of the day. All the pool bar staff and the pool staff ( Kim - always rushing around, Stevan - waiter and especially Adil - lifeguard were very efficient and interesting to talk to. Drinks were expensive but there was constant replenishment of cool boxes with cold water throughout the day. The only negative would be that there was no explanation/communication in advance of the effect Eid would have at the hotel. We fully respected and understood the situation but as visitors from Europe, a few words in a message in advance on the TV message option would have been appreciated.

We stayed here and Al Bustan Palace A Ritz-Carlton Hotel were incredible, perfect hotel for a family with small children - great playground, excellent kids club and staff, and lots of food options. Al Bustan Palace has a luxurious feel with interesting decor on display from the moment you walk in the hotel . Our room was pristine and very comfortable with a gorgeous spacious bathroom stocked with all the toiletries we could ever need! We had amazing views out on the balcony. Perfect and huge outdoor spaces by the pools and beach. The staff did everything to make us feel comfortable in every area, you succeeded. A special thanks to Barlas Gorgulu and Can Gezen for their availability and care towards us (thanks also for the flowers). Every detail was taken care of, and the restaurant team, housekeeping team, beach and pool staff attentiveness at Al Bustan Palace continually impressed us. I was also very impressed by the compromise between mountains, beach, sea and palm trees. A pleasant sea breeze that relieves the heat. Our experience at Al Khiran Restaurant was a fantastic experiencex, also a special mention to the restaurant team who looked after us twice at breakfast and dinner with a big smile and had an amazing ability to predict what we would need before we had asked! We loved every second of our time at Al Bustan Palace and hope to return soon!
