On the picturesque west side of the island of Mykonos, surrounded by the blue Mediterranean Sea, is the luxurious Cavo Tagoo. Near Chora, or Mykonos Town, this stunning hotel is built into the side of a cliff and, with its elegance, will take your breath away. With a minimalist Cycladic design each room is almost futuristic in style and glows with pure whites all around, accented by vibrant splashes of color. The open layout gives each room a comfortable, tranquil feel and large doors lead out to your private balcony and view of the sea. Imagine relaxing on your balcony, a refreshing cocktail in hand, as the sun sets romantically over the islands of Greece. At Cavo Tagoo the simple elegance of your room, and the surrounding natural beauty will truly relax your being.

Staying at Tavo Cavoo was not the glamorous experience of luxury that I imagined when booking. Let’s put it like this, it’s not a cheap place! We stayed there for for five days and it felt like they only would care about you if you are spending alot of money and they would literally squeeze the most out of you every day, nothing was complimentary and everything was an extravagant expense and extra charge. So just expect that you pay and get no extras. That wasn’t even all of it. Concierge didn’t correct cancel a reservation we asked them to, we were charged. The day menus by the pool were very limited and the room we had was very small considering the price 3k a night, but beautiful view. Day one I was asked to move sun beds and I tell you there were three other occupied beds, one of which was us. But because another hotel guest demanded that the bed we had was the best view, they kicked up a fuss and asked us to move for them!!. I was furious and embarrassed and it was very unprofessional. The staff had the audacity to ask us to move beds for this other guest and they didn’t even accommodate us or give us a free drink to say thank you for making us move. My main complaint was that I actually got electrocuted in our room because of a faulty adapter they had in the room. The set up is quite dangerous and would probably be illegal in other countries but it’s set up like a wet room situation but they shouldn’t have electrical sockets near where you come out of the showers so just be very wary of the set up here, it is dangerous . After I was electrocuted by a faulty adapter, which the room provided, clearly I was hysterical and crying. They came and investigated and in spoke in Greek, but didn’t realise I was Greek also and could understand exactly what they were saying. Basically tried to push the whole situation under the carpet admitting that it was a fault of the hotel that they had left a faulty charger adapter in the room and by the time at the team left the place was cleaned up the adapter was taken and all they could do was offer me an orange juice and the opportunity to see if I wanted to go to the hospital. But it was my last day so didn’t want to do that , just wanted to wait till I went back to London to get myself checked out my hand. My hand was numb for four days and there was an exit wound from the shock. At checkout when I complained and only once i cried about my arm hurting did they refund me a half an hour massage from all the treatments i had done whilst being there. Refunding the cheapest of the treatments that I already paid for I think is diabolical for such a luxurious place. The staff were not happy about anyone complaining. I promise you if i didn’t make a bit of a scene they wouldn’t have even done that. The ‘manager’ wrote down my points like she was pretending to listen but was blatantly obvious nothing was going to be done about it. Another member of staff said for me to txt her how im getting on? Didnt even email us any contact numbers or even our final revised bill. Truly unprofessional and all for show. They just want to make out they are listening and get as much money from you as possible very shocking considering how much they really make this place out to be one of the best places in Mykonos. I would not stay there again and I will take my money elsewhere. Such a shame, instagram made it look and feel so different.

It was a terrible experience for our first time to Mykonos. We paid almost $3k a night for the cave room. The first day, we were swimming in the cave pool that we paid for, the front desk called us, said we can not use the pool??!!! We paid almost $3k and they told us we can not use it??!! They gave us a room on the top of the valet area, said the water get their coworkers wet?? Then they should’nt even let ppl stay in that room! This is ridiculous. And then, the first night, the AC was not working, I had to call the front desk to fix it IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT, SWEATING. Never had this kind of experience in a 5 star hotel. AGAIN, ridiculous. We didn’t complain the next day, BUT! The second night, the AC is not working AGAIN! I woke up 4am in the morning and called them again, they told me “it’s not possible to fix it” like WHAT??!! It’s 5am in the morning. We had to wait for 30 mins for them to fix it in the middle of the night! The next day, we had to talk to someone to complain because these are too much. Katerina, who “tried” to help us, but the most ridiculous part is that she think we are lying???!!! She kept saying they will never call us to not use the pool, and the ac is working fine??!! So did I set up the alarm at 4am just to call them and complain?? This whole experience with the first 2 nights and the customer service were just not acceptable at all. They gave us another room for the 3rd and 4th night, which were fine. We wanted to request the refund at least for the first 2 nights because we’re not paying $5k+ for these ridiculous experiences. We stayed in all the 5 star hotels, this is by far the worst experience ever.

By far the worst customer service we have experienced from any “luxury hotel”. The AC unit broke our first two nights and they were unable to fix until the morning of day 3. Also, we spent nearly $3,000 a night to have the cave pool, to which they told us we could not use because “their colleagues below got wet”. They moved us to another room on day 3, but refused to compensate us for any of the issues the first two days. Not only that, but the manager, Katalina (sp?), attempted to gaslight us the entire time as if there were no issues at all. We even were forced to carry our luggage up and down the many steps on the way out when they did not show up in time to take care of it. Then Katalina attempted to gaslight us again by saying we did not schedule it and that she “couldn’t read our minds”, even though we had the hard proof showing where they had confirmed with us on the chat. With that said, the service at the restaurant was fantastic and the atmosphere was great. I would highly recommend staying at another hotel and just going to Zuma for the sunset.

A stunning lication sadly undermined by poor management .the atmosfphere and setting are truly special ,but the team in charge is consistently rude and inhospitable.I genuinely hope things improve.as the place itself deserves better -and I'd love to keep returning

Everyone and everywhere hookah. The pool area is full of a cloud of hookah smoke and that scent. Not sure why hookahs are in Greece but ok. Be ready to smell like hookah. Can’t enjoy the pool and fresh air without hookah in the air . Staff and service is great but they really need to limit hookah usage, it’s gross
