The Mykonian region of Aleomandra is named after the sacred Delian stables that, according to myth, provided shelter to the horses of the Olympic god Apollo. Centuries later, Kalesma Mykonos rises out of that same Mykonian earth to become one with the legends. ‘Kalesma’ means ‘inviting’ in Greek, a word that best expresses the ethos of our privately owned luxury boutique hotel. We welcome travelers into our exclusive hideaway to share in our special slice of the Mediterranean.

We enjoyed our stay at the Kalesma. The service is impressive and the rooms are terrific. Tranquil rooms with active public spaces. Our room was enormous with great sea views. Very comfortable beds. Couch in a living space adjoining the bed. Tons of closet space and plenty of drawers. Safe in the closet. Very good WiFi, though a bit weaker by the pool. Minibar with free water and sodas as well as treats/alcohol with a cost. Housekeeping comes during the day and also does a good turndown service. Huge bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers as well as a tub. Double sinks with lots of counter space and even medicine chests. Outdoor pool with chaises are as beautiful as the photos. Plenty of beach and bath towels. TV is in a mirror that pops out to face the bed via an iPad that can also control the temperature and lighting. We were able to cast Netflix/Amazon on the TV. Lots of channels in every language. We had some windy weather. Our pool umbrella blew out of its stand once during the day. Incredibly, it was so windy that it blew completely away while closed during our last night. At the top of the hill is a pool, bar area and restaurant. All flow together well and are attractively designed. Great drinks at the bar. Nice place to hang out as well as eat or drink. Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. They attempt to do an elevated version of Greek cuisine with modern twists. But it just ended up being less tasty than all of the other (and not necessarily nearly as expensive) five hotels that we stayed at in Greece as well as most of tavernas at which we ate. Dishes also never arrived at the same time. The food quality just doesn’t match the hotel or menu prices. Service, in contrast, is excellent and a bright spot. Very good at accommodating gluten free needs. The hotel provides free transfers twice per to day to and from Mykonos town (Chora) going at 10am and 7pm and coming back at 1pm and 9pm. You can reserve with reception or via WhatsApp. Cost is €40 each way if provided by hotel at other times. There is also an adorable, modern Orthodox chapel—great for weddings I imagine. We really appreciated all of the effort that the staff put in to make our stay so pleasant, including Christos who drove us to and from town as well as reception, housekeeping and the bar and restaurant staff. Great place to stay on Mykonos unless you want to be right on the beach or at the center of the party action in town—though you can still easily access both.

Excellent service, great attention to the details. This is a very beautiful place to stay and to be pampered and relaxed. There is not a direct access to the beach from the hotel. However, the hotel cars drive you to the nearby beaches and pick you up complimentary. Also, each room has its own private pool. Great restaurants and food quality. The entire staff including the management and the owner make sure to make you feel at home at all times. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning to visit Mykonos.

From the moment you make your reservation to the time you arrive on the island to your stay at Kalesma Mykonos, you are made to feel important and welcomed. The staff at every juncture is helpful, knowledgable, caring and compassionate to make your stay with them the best stay you can possibly have. What a great team at Kalesma! Kostas is a great chef, Eleni was a delightful person in the restaurant that took care of us, most days was always a breath of fresh air and accommodating. George the driver from the moment he met us at port to the time he dropped us off to go onto the next spot was very helpful in educating us about the island and took great care of us. The front desk staff was very accommodating and helpful with ideas of what to see and do, where to go etc. The rooms were unbelievable! Well appointed, comfortable, large and with great views. Our housekeeping staff always did an amazing job, every day and every night, and was helpful and quick when there was something we needed. The passion you see from the owner to the staff is infectious. This is certainly a top of the list hotel for anyone who stays here, I assure you. If you want a place to rest and relax, I would suggest you stay here. Fantastic job Kalesma Team!

This hotel is by far the best hotel. Every detail is so well thought out and the hotel is pure luxury. The pictures in the website cannot even capture the full beauty and true luxury of this hotel. The owner is also so personable, went to guests at each meal making sure the stay was perfect. He really truly put his heart and soul into creating this gem and it truly shows. This love for the hotel and priority of customer experience has translated to the staff in spades. From welcome drinks to personalized concierge to hotel car and more, every service was provided with a smile and pride for the hotel. I am dreaming of the day I will come back to Mykonos and stay at this hotel.
