About the Hotel

The Mykonian region of Aleomandra is named after the sacred Delian stables that, according to myth, provided shelter to the horses of the Olympic god Apollo. Centuries later, Kalesma Mykonos rises out of that same Mykonian earth to become one with the legends. ‘Kalesma’ means ‘inviting’ in Greek, a word that best expresses the ethos of our privately owned luxury boutique hotel. We welcome travelers into our exclusive hideaway to share in our special slice of the Mediterranean.

Wonderful Hotel and Staff .

I can’t recommend this hotel highly enough, From the moment my daughter and I stepped into the reception we were greeted by friendly reception staff and the wonderful manager Konstantinos who was so helpful and amazing. The whole complex is immaculate, Rooms are spacious and feel luxurious. Food is excellent . The hotel housekeeping staff go the extra mile and rooms and outside areas are cleaned throughly everyday . Everyone was so helpful and a special mention to Vasilis and Voula on reception who could not do enough for us . We will be back !

A superb stay at the truly exceptional Kalesma

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 month ago

The Kalesma Mykonos is one of the finest hotels that I have had the pleasure of staying in. The service was impeccable; the facilities and rooms were spacious, beautifully appointed, and very private; and the food was perfection. Really, nothing went even slightly askew from the moment we checked in until the moment we reluctantly had to leave. The hotel is located in a quieter part of Mykonos, about a 15 minute drive from the historic port area. The views are really gorgeous from seemingly all of the large, very private rooms (many of which have their own private pools and gardens). While the hotel is not directly on a beach, there are good beach options nearby, and it’s very easy for the hotel staff to really get you anywhere you need to be. Mykonos itself can be crowded, and has a variety of visitors, many whom are budget-minded and seeking to party. If you plan a visit to Mykonos, my advice would be to check into the Kalesma and spend most of your visit there! …It’s that wonderful!

Service & Rooms Can’t Be Beat

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

We enjoyed our stay at the Kalesma. The service is impressive and the rooms are terrific. Tranquil rooms with active public spaces. Our room was enormous with great sea views. Very comfortable beds. Couch in a living space adjoining the bed. Tons of closet space and plenty of drawers. Safe in the closet. Very good WiFi, though a bit weaker by the pool. Minibar with free water and sodas as well as treats/alcohol with a cost. Housekeeping comes during the day and also does a good turndown service. Huge bathroom with both indoor and outdoor showers as well as a tub. Double sinks with lots of counter space and even medicine chests. Outdoor pool with chaises are as beautiful as the photos. Plenty of beach and bath towels. TV is in a mirror that pops out to face the bed via an iPad that can also control the temperature and lighting. We were able to cast Netflix/Amazon on the TV. Lots of channels in every language. We had some windy weather. Our pool umbrella blew out of its stand once during the day. Incredibly, it was so windy that it blew completely away while closed during our last night. At the top of the hill is a pool, bar area and restaurant. All flow together well and are attractively designed. Great drinks at the bar. Nice place to hang out as well as eat or drink. Unfortunately, the food at the restaurant was a bit of a disappointment. They attempt to do an elevated version of Greek cuisine with modern twists. But it just ended up being less tasty than all of the other (and not necessarily nearly as expensive) five hotels that we stayed at in Greece as well as most of tavernas at which we ate. Dishes also never arrived at the same time. The food quality just doesn’t match the hotel or menu prices. Service, in contrast, is excellent and a bright spot. Very good at accommodating gluten free needs. The hotel provides free transfers twice per to day to and from Mykonos town (Chora) going at 10am and 7pm and coming back at 1pm and 9pm. You can reserve with reception or via WhatsApp. Cost is €40 each way if provided by hotel at other times. There is also an adorable, modern Orthodox chapel—great for weddings I imagine. We really appreciated all of the effort that the staff put in to make our stay so pleasant, including Christos who drove us to and from town as well as reception, housekeeping and the bar and restaurant staff. Great place to stay on Mykonos unless you want to be right on the beach or at the center of the party action in town—though you can still easily access both.

Staying in Mykonos

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 3 months ago

Excellent service, great attention to the details. This is a very beautiful place to stay and to be pampered and relaxed. There is not a direct access to the beach from the hotel. However, the hotel cars drive you to the nearby beaches and pick you up complimentary. Also, each room has its own private pool. Great restaurants and food quality. The entire staff including the management and the owner make sure to make you feel at home at all times. I strongly recommend staying at this hotel if you are planning to visit Mykonos.
