The Ambassador is a luxury hotel in Mykonos, capturing the essence of Myconian charm and the celebrated ‘art de vivre’ of Relais & Châteaux. Mere steps from the fine sand of Platis Gialos, and built in sympathy with the slope, its architecture blends contemporary chic with tones and textures borrowed from the local vernacular. Interiors that embody the clean line and cool sophistication of high design flow into the quiet comfort of luxurious bedrooms, or spill out onto the spectacular terrace that is the heart of the hotel, all without ever breaking the spell of magnificent Aegean views. Aptly named Stay, the terrace is a world unto itself, beating to different rhythms throughout the day: after a leisurely breakfast at Latitudes, mornings drift effortlessly into perfect poolside afternoons, with light meals and drinks from George’s bar. And as shadows lean towards evening, guests return from the beach to mingle over sunset cocktails, before dining in the candle-lit glow of Efisia, one of the island’s top tables. The tranquility of being away from the island’s party pulse is just as easily given up with a short stroll across to Psarou or Paranga.

Beautiful hotel just a few minutes walk about Platos Yialos. We had our two kids (ages 6 and 5) and the hotel was good for them (I had not seen a lot of feedback saying it was family-friendly so I was a bit nervous). Don't get me wrong, most of the people there were couples, including many who qualified as the beautiful jet-set type - but it was not awkward having kids. We stayed in a two bedroom suite which was absolutely beautiful and had a rather large private pool, so we spent some time there as well as the hotel's main pool. As far as I can tell location is good compared to other options on Mykonos - the beach that is a few minutes away did not appear to be a big party beach, but we still had a very nice day at one of the beach clubs there and a separate dinner as well, so we appreciated the ability to walk there. Concierge service was excellent, they set us up with some great dinners out on the town, and also got us babysitters so my wife and I could enjoy the legendary Mykonos night life. One last note, the breakfast buffet was quite good. We would absolutely stay here again.

The staff are super lovely, rooms are spacious and clean, and the pool is great with lots of sun loungers. Few mins walk away from the Branco beach which is really lovely and has great food, Note that the hotel is on a hill so some of the rooms are a bit of a walk away from the pool and reception areas, which wouldn’t be ideal for a young family with a stroller. Only downside I’d say is that the food is just ok. It could be better, but definitely not a deal breaker. Would recommend this hotel.

We stayed here for our honeymoon in August and it was perfect for us. The staff are excellent. All the rooms have a sea view, the pool area and food are excellent. The beach is just a few minutes walk and Mykonos town is a short taxi drive.

Genuinely glorious. Spacious comfortable room with private terrace and pool (in the sun until 4pm). Every member of staff from the pool crew, to wait staff, concierge desk and car crew are warm, friendly, polite and willing to assist with anything. Pool is large, subbed comfy and spacious, has light buzz without being chaotic or crowded. Food is good, although dinner condone. Typically i prefers villas to hotels but loved this and will return

This hotel is a short walk to the beach and there is a minimart nearby. The breakfast is fabulous and the staff around the pool are fantastic and very attentive. The staff at reception need probably more training. They were not that helpful with regards to getting bookings or giving information. We were locked out at one stage and the hotel is very spread out so we had to walk quite along way back to reception. The staff were very dismissive of the issue. I would recommend this hotel. It’s about a 15 minute drive to Mykonos town and costs €20 each way. If you want to be close to the action, probably stay closer to Mykonos town.
