The Ambassador is a luxury hotel in Mykonos, capturing the essence of Myconian charm and the celebrated ‘art de vivre’ of Relais & Châteaux. Mere steps from the fine sand of Platis Gialos, and built in sympathy with the slope, its architecture blends contemporary chic with tones and textures borrowed from the local vernacular. Interiors that embody the clean line and cool sophistication of high design flow into the quiet comfort of luxurious bedrooms, or spill out onto the spectacular terrace that is the heart of the hotel, all without ever breaking the spell of magnificent Aegean views. Aptly named Stay, the terrace is a world unto itself, beating to different rhythms throughout the day: after a leisurely breakfast at Latitudes, mornings drift effortlessly into perfect poolside afternoons, with light meals and drinks from George’s bar. And as shadows lean towards evening, guests return from the beach to mingle over sunset cocktails, before dining in the candle-lit glow of Efisia, one of the island’s top tables. The tranquility of being away from the island’s party pulse is just as easily given up with a short stroll across to Psarou or Paranga.

First, they dropped the ball on meeting our ferry...no transportation as they had confirmed...a quick call at d 30 minutes later we were on our 30 minute journey to the hotel. Smaller room and a flat wierd round shower...pool was great and staff was very helpful. Good place to stay, especially if you can navigate the public bus system...we saved a ton using the public bus as opposed to a private shuttle every trip...the hotel is a way away from the main attractions.

My husband and I just traveled to Mykonos and stayed here for my 40th Birthday Celebration, this hotel is amazing! Before we arrived, I was able to communicate via email with Fani at the front desk for all of our reservations including the beach club and restaurants. Our room was incredibly clean with a breathtaking view of the ocean and our jacuzzi was kept very clean as well. We visited the pool and were very impressed with the service on the pool deck and the food as well. The Freddo Cappuccino was delicious, so was the tzatziki and pita. The hotel was very conveniently located and the front desk was always available to arrange transportation for us which arrived very quickly. We would definitely return to this hotel, it was a 5 star experience.

I am extremely disappointed with my stay at this hotel. During my stay, I found six!!! cockroaches in the room, which is completely unacceptable for any hotel, especially one charging Mykonos prices. What made the situation even worse was the way the hotel handled it. When I reported the cockroaches, all I received was essentially an “excuse us.” There was no meaningful attempt to compensate us or make up for such an unpleasant and unhygienic experience. I even asked for a late checkout, which I thought would have been the absolute minimum gesture of goodwill after what happened, but they refused to provide it without additional payment. Unfortunately, the whole experience left me with the impression that the priority here is simply to make as much money as possible from tourists rather than to provide proper hospitality and take responsibility when something goes seriously wrong. Mykonos itself is absolutely beautiful and I loved the island, but I am extremely disappointed with this hotel and would not recommend staying here.
