As a guest, I would like to emphasize that the hotel's reception was outstanding compared to my experiences with other hosts I have stayed with in the past. Your staff is highly skilled and courteous; I would like to specifically mention Mr. Saudi MUTETI, whose warm welcome and assistance during my check-in and check-out were both impressive and exceptional.

It was my first time in Nairobi and Gem Forest hosted and housed me for my stay which was almost 2 weeks. I'm blown away by the service I received! Because of this, I will become an evangelist for Gems Forest wherever I go. I will tell everyone to go there and experience the greatness I received. First of all, I want to thank Millicent and her team! During our conferencing sessions, we were in need of nothing! They all helped with true servant leadership and consistency. I would like to mention them by name: Esther, Denise, Denson, George, Yvonne, Elizabeth, Edgar, Meshack, Gamaliel, Brian, Maryanne, Faith, Celestine, and the team. These people are a valuable part of your team as they work in the shadows to make sure everything goes well. As someone who teaches service staff, I must say, there are very few establishments which provide truly 5 star service and because of these people mentioned above, i have received 5 star service. I would like to thank the leadership at Gem Forest for their hospitality, namely Rebecca, Robert and Thomas. Because of your service, I didn't even want to leave and go back to my glorious country, South Africa. I would have liked to stay there for longer. Also will like to extend a thanks to the receptionists, Alvin, Brian, Jacqueline, Vincent and Stephen. Whatever I needed, both for conferencing and in my room was handled with care and promptness. I respect that. Lastly, I want to express how excited I am to return to Kenya, and live in Gem Forest. I feel as if I have found another family there and cannot wait to return. The staff alone are worth 5 stars — everything else is just a bonus We spent a week at the Gem Forest with our young daughter and left with full hearts and a serious case of post-holiday blues. This place is special. Highlights: Breakfast buffet — exceptional spread, every morning felt like an occasion Heated swimming pool — a huge win when travelling with a toddler Gym — modern, well-equipped, and the sunrise views make the early wake-up worthwhile The setting — truly unique and tucked away in a way that makes you feel completely removed from the city Value — outstanding for the quality of everything on offer But the standout? The people. Every member of staff treated our 3-year-old with such genuine warmth and affection. She was adored, entertained, and made to feel completely at home. For travelling families, this is priceless — and surprisingly rare. We would recommend the Gem Forest without hesitation to couples, families, and solo travellers alike. I booked one of their conference facilities for a writing workshop I conducted in February 2026. Not only did they have hi-tech equipment available for our presentations, they also served up generous and really scrumptious meals and snacks throughout the day. The staff was quick to attend to our needs and I was very impressed at how cleanly they maintained their washrooms. Smelled very nice, too. One thing that our workshop participants mentioned was the accessibility of the hotel. Its location near Village Market and right on Limuru Road made it easy to find. Both public and private transportation had no problem getting to it. Their per-head rate for workshop participants was also very reasonable. I can see myself conducting more workshops with them in the next few months.
