Stopped here for one night as part of a week long safari. Upon arrival, the hotel didn't appear to have many safari guests. We arrived at lunchtime in time for lunch before our boat ride on the lake. There was a conference taking part and staff were setting up outside for their lunch. There are monkeys everywhere here and you need to have your wits about you, especially if you are partaking in the tea/coffee and cake in the afternoon. The rooms are very basic but is clean and everything works. Our bathroom backed on to the generator area but the noise was not noticeable. It was also very drab looking with the white tiles. There are no fans in the room. The quilt was a little heavy and we didn't sleep that well. Whenever we go away we take small USB fans which can be used with a power bank or via a plug with USB sections, so they provided some relief from the heat. The sockets are same as the UK. What the room lacks, the view certainly makes up for. We were in room 1404 and shared a patio area with our neighbour. We only heard them when they were passing our room to get on to the hotel grounds. We did have a couple of mosquitoes in the room but that is inevitable. The lake tour was very good. Our tour group had 14 members and the boats hold 7 people so one couple would have to be separated from their partner/spouse - and that turned out to be me. I had no issue with that; it allowed us to take photos of each other from the boats. Once back on dry land, the zebras had made their way on to the lawns. It was great to get up close to these animals. You have the chance here to get up close to giraffes too if you wish - the hotel staff will walk you to the area where they are. At dinner, the staff came out banging pots and pans and singing. Our travel agent had informed the hotel we were celebrating a recent wedding anniversary and we were provided with a cake. There were two others who had the same experience. A lovely touch. Food wise, again there is plenty of choice. There is a hot station where fresh pasta and a meat option were freshly cooked for you. Again you need to be chaperoned to your room in the dark hours (even though we were literally 100 paces from the dining room) - we had 2 hippos around 30ft from the room door. Breakfast again the next morning was a little busy, but a definite improvement on the previous hotel. It seems the fresh egg station is very popular. We did have trouble with the toaster - it was too slow and didn't toast. We had a 5.45am alarm and I don't think the hotel has the most appropriate start times for breakfast so not everything was ready. The Wi-Fi was good enough for our requirements.

We loved staying here! The employees were all so kind and helpful. If there was anything we wanted or needed, we asked and they did their best to help us. We loved that we could walk around the yard and see lots of animals and there are guards there to help keep people safe from the animals. With that said, the animals are pretty comfortable with people walking around, but be nice and give them space and don’t chase them. Such a cool experience. We would love to come back and visit.

This place is unique. Situated beside lake Naivasha it offers all the comforts & view of a beach side resort while staying on a lake. At night it's very common that a Zebras or a Hippos may be sighted as they gaze around in their compound. Rooms are spacious and the food is amazing. I enjoyed my stay here and looking forward for more.

This is my second time staying here, but this visit was special—it was a family trip! I brought my mom from Indonesia to explore Kenya. Everything was amazing. We were given rooms side by side, and the entire stay was wonderful and full of warmth. A special thank you to Faith and Beaty for arranging our room. They were very helpful. And also Obonyo and Mrs. Lucy in the restaurant was very welcome! The atmosphere at the hotel was incredible. There were so many animals around—no need to go anywhere else. Just relax and enjoy!
