The hotel is set in beautiful 'manicured' gardens with many different birds. It is like a historic colonial mansion. We were spoiled with a Mount Kenya view from the room in the main building. Very special. The fireplace in the room is lit every evening, a very nice touch. Good bedding and amenities.

I had an incredible stay at the Fairmont Mount Kenya Safari Club! From the moment I arrived, the stunning views of Mount Kenya took my breath away. The colonial-style cottages and suites felt cozy and elegant, especially with the nightly fireplace and hot water bottles. Staff were consistently warm and attentive—friendly from reception to dining room. The food was delicious, particularly their local and international buffet dishes. Staying here felt special thanks to unique touches like the animal orphanage and guided horseback rides on the estate. The location is peaceful, surrounded by wildlife and wide-open lawns, perfect for relaxing or exploring nearby nature. Yes, it's a bit pricey and there may be extra charges for some activities—but for the experience and service, it was worth every cent. I’d happily stay again!

We’ve travelled a lot and have been in many beautiful hotels all over the world. I only write a review when I really feel I need to and in this case the hotel deserves it! Everything was just perfect, the ambiance is fantastic, food is great, location superb, service outstanding and all the special animals on the estate make it a unique stay. But most importantly the staff, it is all about the personal touch and warm welcome, from the firestarters to the reception, the cooks and the gardeners. Definitively on our all time top 5 list!
