Stunning place with incredible views of Mt Kenya on a non-cloudy day. The staff are amazing- always looking to help and attentive to detail. Spacious rooms and comfy bed. Visited the orphanage on site where staff were helpful and informative. Breakfast and dinner buffets were diverse and delicious. Highly recommended!

Immaculate views and serenity all round. The service was excellent and the staff very friendly and knowledgeable. The complementary Animal Orphanage pass was a great idea. Overall, I’d always come back again and again as this is an experience worth reliving.

This historic hotel features stunning colonial architecture and offers breathtaking views of Mount Kenya. Our room was spacious and well-equipped, with a separate bathroom and three distinct areas, providing excellent privacy. The breakfast was delicious, and there was also a buffet restaurant on-site. While the food was decent, the service was generally slow; however, the staff was very friendly. One of the highlights of the hotel is the animal orphanage, where guests can interact with various animals, including several lions and a young giraffe. However, be aware that the grounds are home to many loose animals, primarily birds. If you are seeking peace and quiet, this may not be the best choice for you, as the sounds of children playing and ducks quacking can be quite loud. On the other hand, the golf course is amazing and significantly enhances the overall experience.

I have so much to appreciate the hotel for. Let me start with the booking and being an ACCOR member. But, I still prefer making the call to your very able standby staff who always provide guidance. Stella and Mitchel,THANK YOU! Your reception staff, great people including the valet crew! I also loved the activities you offer. Loved the horse riding and the guides were super professionals. Being a beginner, they assisted me with everything I needed. I also enjoyed my workout in the gym. Clean equipments and a locker for storage of my changing clothes. Customer care and service is top notch at Fairmont Mt. Kenya. I love how all your staff were super engaging and always checking whether I am comfortable. Whether in the room or just around the hotel. House keepers also, are super amazing and always checking whether I needed extra towels or water. The restaurant service personnels are great and very accommodative. Making sure I choose where to sit and making me aware of special/new food they had on the menu or the buffet! Thank you to the pastries chefs! Love love love that pastries corner. Plus the buffet always bring back my appetite like everything hahahaha… I can’t forget the managers of this place. From the lovely welcome card they place in my room plus the chocolates and to the everyday check on my experience in the hotel, I love that! Please keep this up and I will keep coming back.
