Andaz Napa

It is a very nice hotel and quiet at night. The room was nice and confortable. I was in the king size room with the sofa. They give you a pass to a gym near by (no walking distance). I didn't eat there so I don't know about food. The bar was good and had a fun late night vibe. The bartender was good. Everyone is friendly. The cleaning staff are very good and friendly. Walk out your door for shopping and restaurants. Farmers market for breakfast was walkable.

This property sets a very high standard of guest service. Everyone who works there is cheerful helpful, and professional. From the general manger, to the housekeeping supervisor, to the housekeepers, we received greetings, smiles, and assistance. That began even before we arrived when I asked questions about the reservation. The hotel has an excellent location right on First Street. There is immediate access to shops, restaurants, tasting rooms, etc. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, and the rain shower heads are excellent. The beds are great, there is a small fridge in the room, quiet, and very clean. They could use a little updating. This is an good choice for upscale accommodations without pretension--and with a staff the know how to execute.

Good location. Looks nice on the surface, but thermostat in the room didn't work and was not fixed. Room was 72 degrees despite setting at 67. Didn't sleep for 2 nights... Coffee maker broken but was replaced. Front desk staff was hit or miss, depending on timing. No gym! Offered one 2 miles away??? Nice bartenders and some of staff was helpful. Room was spacious. Overall not worth the price.

Location and accommodations exceeded my expectations. Staff was very helpful, friendly and knowledgeable. Resturant was nice. We ate breakfast daily and cocktails at night. The food was always good and the cocktails mixed perfectly. Our room was very comfortable.

The Andaz Napa has an excellent location right in downtown Napa, within easy walking distance of Oxbow Public Market, Copia, and many shops, restaurants, and tasting rooms. If location is a priority, this is definitely one of the hotel’s strongest features. The hotel itself is nice, and I liked my room. It was modern, spacious, and clean, with hardwood floors, which I especially appreciated. My one issue with the room was the lighting. Except for the bathroom, I found it quite dark. In fact, the entire hotel has a darker décor and ambiance, which may appeal to some guests but wasn’t particularly to my taste. The overall atmosphere is very casual, including the service. The staff was friendly and generally helpful, although I expected a somewhat more polished level of service from an Andaz property. My biggest disappointment was the food. Our group of around 23 were there for a meeting. We had two breakfast and lunch buffets there, and everything was quite bland and underwhelming, which was especially surprising in Napa, where there are so many wonderful dining options. Based on our experience, I would skip dining at the hotel and take advantage of the many excellent restaurants within walking distance. Overall, the Andaz is a nice, clean, modern hotel in a terrific downtown location, but the service, ambiance, and especially the food kept the experience from feeling as special as I had expected.
