Excellent hotel, location and terrace bar

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 5 days ago

Beautiful stay for our 30th anniversary! Perfect location within walking distance to many restaurants and bars. The hotel had a great terrace bar ambience. The hotel staff were friendly and provided great service. The breakfast was excellent.

Much better options available in Napa

Super overpriced for the experience. Staff were friendly and attentive but the property is lacking what all great hotels excel in which is making guests feel special and going above and beyond to make the stay memorable. We were staying for my partner’s birthday, and none of the hotel agents acknowledged the occasion. The website also promised small snacks, a wine pour and doggy treats as welcome gifts. We were never offered anything of these things. Our $800 room was old, dated and came with a stellar view of a parking garage wall. Not great. I would recommend the Archer hotel in this price range instead.

good but not exceptional

This is a well located hotel with very friendly and attentive staff. It is very convenient to be within a short walking distance to so many downtown Napa restaurants and shops. It also provides a parking pass to park in the garage directly behind the hotel (you obtain the parking pass at check in, and then use it to park on the 3rd floor of the garage behind the hotel). We were offered a complimentary glass of wine upon check in (though we were in a hurry and had to skip it). The room itself was comfortable and the bed & pillows were particularly comfy. The bathroom and the shower are very spacious, though the bathroom "door" is one of those sliding doors that leaves a gap and provides next to no privacy. The place is a bit short on room amenities as well. It would be nice if there were some complimentary filtered water (a lot of hotels are offering this in reusable glass bottles as an environmentally-friendly alternative to plastic water bottles), some lotion in the bathroom would be nice, slippers, etc. There is a robe provided and an iron and hairdryer, but overall the room "extras" are minimal. One hotel feature we were immediately made aware of is the live music. When we arrived, this was blaring in the lobby to the extent that I had to shout over it to provide my name to the staff member checking us in. The musicians and singer seemed very talented, but it was unnecessarily LOUD and didn't even need to be amplified given the small space. I suppose they use the high volume as a means of drawing people in from the street to have a drink at their lobby bar, but even if that is the case, it did not need to be that loud. A hotel should be first and foremost a hotel and one should be able to rest and relax . It's nice to feature live music, but maybe adjust the volume for those who are not there for a nightclub experience. All in all, this place provided a convenient location and comfy room, but the cost seems higher than what it should be in terms of the overall experience and amenities.

Trip to Napa/wine country

Check in was a breeze, ended up in one of the king loft rooms, getting greeted with a glass of wine never gets old. Ample space for all of our bags, a great sitting area, and a comfy king bed. Only downside of the room was that it faced the top of the parking garage but outside of that everything was great.

Fun Lobby But Rooms Need Help

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 weeks ago

Hotel is a fun boutique place with a lively rooftop deck and lobby. Our room was not really clean, the curtains had dirt on them and the floor was never cleaned well. Bathroom door frame rotting on the bottom. The coffeemaker didn't work and when we did get one that did really bad coffee. Coffee refills was done poorly.
