I’d describe it as a good, average hotel rather than a luxury one
The hotel is nice overall, but I’d describe it as a good, average hotel rather than a luxury one. The welcome was warm, and the reception team were friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room itself was lovely — it really made the stay. The hotel’s location, however, is in a more industrial area, which takes away a bit from the overall aesthetic. Some of the hotel staff were below the standard I’d expect, and I’ve experienced more attentive service at less highly rated properties. We hadn’t booked any spa treatments in advance but planned to inquire about using the sauna and steam room once we arrived. Unfortunately, the spa team were not very helpful and told us we couldn’t use the facilities or book a treatment, except for one remaining option at $300 per person — which felt steep for a spa without strong reviews. There did seem to be availability if you purchased a treatment, but in my experience, hotel guests are usually given at least some access to the spa facilities. If you are from the UK, Europe or Aus, be prepared for no espresso coffee; again a slight disappointment. Overall, the hotel is fine, but I think there are likely nicer and more authentic places to stay in Napa or Sonoma.

Eric H ROCKS!
Eric H is fantastic! His customer service is top notch. I had a minor issue with the A/C in my room and he took care of immediately. He took the extra time to help me transfer my luggage, and walked me to my new room. When the keys didn’t work, he ran back downstairs and came back with new keys. He was also personable and kind throughout. Great job to The Meritage!

This place is too close to the sewage treatment facility. I hope your package includes some amenities as they can be costly to add.

Beautiful area. Nice resorts. Lots of great amenities. Andelina was WONDERFUL! She was so sweet and kind each time we saw her. She does a lot of running around for guests bringing them things they have requested. She works so hard. Wonderful experience.

Highly recommend Mark for the hot stone massage! Great experience, spa was relaxing and the staff very attentive! Would return.
