Nice location, walkable to town and Wine Train station. Clean, but very dated rooms. I would stay there again for the convenience.

First floor is where people with pets stay so rooms smelled horribly. We were able to change rooms to a higher floor, but only after I already explained to them we are allergic to animals. I returned after entering the room and getting a whiff of the pungent odor. They should have adjusted our room right away when I mentioned the allergy, but I had to wait in line again to get staff help, who are unfriendly and appear exhausted. There was trash left in the lobby. Guests had dogs they left unleashed at the front which scared my child. I would expect them to enforce a strict policy regarding leashing. I've had better stays at cheap motels than this "4-star" hotel

There’s not enough space here or time to tell you the plethora of issues me and my husband experienced here during our honeymoon. They had ROCK HARD TOWELS. We switched rooms the second night and that upgraded room had even harder, almost burnt feeling, towels. Worst part, we’re running late at check out, just enough time to catch our flight. They tell me they’re charging me $250 smoking fee bc the housekeeping went through my bathroom trash can while I’m on my PERIOD and found a wrapper to an edible. We DID NOT smoke in their room at anytime. Weed is legal where we’re from in MI, I also have a medical card for period pain so it’s my medication, and I think they dig thru the trash to find an easy way to charge tourists who enjoy the legal marijuana while they’re in town, well that was not me and it isn’t okay! The male manager had a picture on his cell phone of what he picked out of my trash and refused to return the fee, he said the room smelled so bad they had to out an air purifier in there and couldn’t rent it out. If this were true we could’ve stayed in the initial room we spent 1 night in, and why don’t they tell me this until I am checking out after staying in another room for the remainder of the week? So they can try to charge me twice, once for each room I’m sure. Bc if it were truly a concern they would’ve told me so I don’t “smoke” and “stink up” in the upgraded room too. Last I checked, the trash is for garbage, do they want me to litter? No marijuana was consumed on their property if I want to use the trash then that’s what I paid to rent the room for. They took so much of my time at the front desk while I was trying to check out due to this being brought to my attention so last minute that we missed our flight by just a couple minutes. Then the higher up female manager in the building told me she took it upon herself to tell Costco not to refund me bc I purchased my trip through Costco. Jokes on them, my credit refunded the smoke fee and the room upgrade. Pathetic losers! Corporate was a joke just kept referring me back to the same rude and snarky female manager JENNY who threatened me by telling me she called Costco and hung up on me. I called corporate back again and they said they will have the same girl who hung up on me call me back which she did not. I would also like to mention that we were roadtripping the entire stay, we only stayed in town the first night into the next morning to switch rooms. we would come back to the hotel super early in the morning to sleep shower and roadtrip somewhere else, this was our homebase we were not in the hotel room just smoking weed we were never even there! I attached a photo of Laguna beach as reference, that one day trip took us 8 hours each direction. Each day we traveled a different direction. This hotel just wanted an easy way to charge unsuspected people from out of town! Managers and workers in corporate that thought this behavior was okay! CORPORATE IS NOBEL HOUSE HOTELS -JENNY TUMOR (PROPERTY GENERAL MANAGER - THE RUDEST, HUNG UP ON ME AND CALLED COSTCO) -DEAN (THE HOTEL MANAGER WHO HAD PICTURES OF MY TRASH ON HIS PHONE, WAS RUDE, MADE US MISS FLIGHT) -NOVA -LAUREL -JAMEL (representative I’ve spoken to thru corporate, no help at all)

Staff, location and amenities are excellent at this property and just adjacent to the Wine Train! You can also walk downtown and do not miss Alda and Modal Bakery!
