Great location and atmosphere and service. Recommend the grill for dinner and golfing and tennis. Great weather and views

Good but disappointing

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

In general this is a good golf resort. But one thing that was extremely vexing was their pre-paid breakfast plan. Prior to arrival two months ago, I bought a stay and play package and also prepaid $70 for two breakfast. However, on the premises I was instead charged for breakfast per order and asked to pay additional amounts that exceeded the pre-paid. This kind of deliberate ambiguity is deceptive .

Quick overnight stay

We love staying here. We stayed In an upgraded mansion room and were pleased to see what they are doing with the property.

OLD AND WORN OUT.

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Grounds, common areas and golf course are beautiful. The rooms we stayed in, in the mansion section were old, worn out, pitiful, felt like we were in a 1980s old folks home that had not been renewed or renovated in over 30 years. Really bad.

No reply to multiple emails to 2 addresses and hypocritical policy

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 6 days ago

Prior to the stay, I emailed 2 listed emails 4 times and never got a reply. It was very upsetting that our hypoallergenic cats were not allowed to stay, given how many dogs were on the property and clearly not service dogs (e.g. multiple small dogs with one owner). There is a strict no pet policy and we had asked for special dispensation as we are moving country and had to attend a conference at this hotel and stay at this hotel (as one of the organizers). Our cats are traumatized from travelling halfway around the world and should have been with us. Instead, we had to pay a lot for them to be boarded at the closest place 45 minutes away - too far to go and see them daily. It is a highly hypocritical policy and purely mean spirited to living creatures when we had no choice but to bring them on the journey. The hotel rooms are ok, but with weird things like you can't fully open the shower door because it hits the toilet. There were some great staff, but then too few when needed e.g. bell men.
