Lack of privacy difficult to overcome for the price

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 12 hours ago

The “acre double” room (and in particular, room 19B) is a huge disappointment and total waste of money. We typically stay at Carneros Inn but were excited to try something new. In hindsight I wish we hadn't as the price point is the same and Carneros has exponentially better rooms (no matter which one you get). Property is beautiful, but 19B is facing a busy path and people/carts are constantly going past. Zero privacy whatsoever, so anyone who goes by can look directly into your room and see every inch of it (apart from the bathroom, assuming you close the door). There are no windows so unless you want to be on full display to everyone walking past, you have to have the heavy blinds drawn at all times meaning zero natural light enters the room. You can also hear everything in the connecting rooms, which is very awkward. This room is clearly intended to be rented out in conjunction with one of the two adjoining rooms. It absolutely should not be rented out by itself unless there's a significant discount applied to the price. Definitely not worth the cost, particularly in light of how many great options there are in napa at this price point.

Will return again soon- no doubt!

We just returned for our second stay within a few months at Stanly Ranch. We enjoyed all of the available amenities from Hale House to the Lavender Pool to the beautiful grounds and walking paths. The service remained excellent from check-in to Bear to Gavel. The staff noted the special occasion we were celebrating and it made the trip feel notable and personal. We requested the same room we stayed in during the previous trip because of the privacy, its adjacency to the Lavender Pool and the tub and we were given the same room which was a nice touch. The linens (the pillows are so lovely I asked for the brand name to replicate them at our home) were cozy and luxurious and I slept until 9am each morning which is unheard of for my sleep schedule. I was in sleep heaven. What really elevated the “surprise and delight” aspect of the resort are the thoughtful touches like cool towels, frozen Chardonnay grapes and cool sorbet offered and delivered poolside. These details matter. One last thing- try the Stanly Ranch natural wine for sale at Gavel. It was delicious and we brought some home with us. We will come back before the end of the year to once again enjoy the welcoming service and lovely amenities.

Don’t get room 14B

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 2 days ago

This is my third stay at Stanley Ranch but will be my last. The first two times I was given a beautiful and private room with a King bed. This time I was given an adjoining 2-queen room (14B) that has no entrance (you enter through the patio doors which was entirely confusing at night) and faces the parking lot. As a woman traveling alone, the full wall of windows and adjoining aspect was candidly unsettling. I could hear the man next door swearing through the walls. To top it off, I asked to be moved and was told they would get back to me and it’s been 30 minutes since I called. This room is definitely not what I expect from Stanly Ranch and the service was appalling.

Don’t think twice

Truly a next-level experience for my group of 15 Fortune, C-Level guests. Everyone was so impressed and had the best time … The staff pays attention to detail and were so accommodating and lovely. We will definitely be doing this again next year

Best relaxing experience

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 week ago

The resort is immaculate -- beautifully designed with modern amenities and a courteous staff. One of the best stays we've had in a while at any resort. Highly recommend a visit to Stanly Ranch; wouldn't stay anywhere else! We took advantage of the spa which was clean and had everything from a steam room to a massive dry sauna overlooking vineyards. The food is to die for both at Bear and Gravel; can't go wrong with either. The location is excellent as well providing the sought after serenity but still being accessible enough to either Napa or Sonoma.
