Reviews for Hotel Arista

Frequent guest at Arista.

I have stayed at Arista several times each year for the past 6 years and have always enjoyed my stay. My only suggestion to management would be to update some shower heads. That would be my only issue.

We Love This Place!

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

This hotel doesn't get you points in the normal big box chains but it's worth it. The place is generally nice overall and the staff are extremely pleasant and accommodating. It's a little strange to get in and out of but it also makes for a relatively quiet surroundings. Parking is free with a pass they give you and there's a deck to park in to boot. Convenient access from the deck, albeit with thick carpet that makes dragging a bag more challenging. The rooms' light systems can be baffling if you habitually go for switches without reading them. That said, you have options rarely seen outside of super expensive hotels. The phone has a bright light in it that resulted in me placing it on the floor behind a curtain. Speaking of curtains, I need DARK to sleep, traveling with clothespins to hold drapes closed when needed. I did that here and have to say the blackout curtains they use are highly effective. I had a corner room with two window walls and they were amazing. Now, as for the BRIGHT flashing smoke detector LEDs and backlit light switches, less so. Still darker than any of those big chain rooms for sure! They even have a noise maker for those who don't travel with one but it helps them sleep. Typical (albeit very tinny from such a small device LOL) rain, ocean and forest sounds available. It has outlets and USB C charging ports on top too! The bathroom is very nice with ample room in the shower and a water closet/toilet room that feels huge and private. Amenities are thoughtful and of great quality. Like the noise maker, the little toiletry cube with swabs, sewing, etc. was a nice touch, as are the items in the closet. The model of iron supplied splashes water when standing it back up because the filler has no lid by design. Stand it up slowly or risk frustration. The TVs in the waiting area of the lobby are both always on Fox news... How about putting them on the Weather and/or Travel channel? Something reliable for accurate information and less divisive... seriously. Small grievances for hotels these days for the serial traveler. My team comes here regularly and we always rave about it, justifiably so. What we lose in more and more worthless points at the chains we more than make up for in a luxury stay that feels like a high class vacation resort spot. Especially thanks to the kind, courteous, efficient staff. Madison at the front desk is a gem! I almost don't want to share this place for selfish reasons LOL Stay here and I bet you won't go anywhere else after.
