LaPlaya Beach and Golf Resort

La Playa was an oasis that provided direct, private beach access that truly felt like you had your own little slice of the ocean. Being able to simply show up and have beach attendants ready to set up your chairs, umbrellas, and towels for the day took all the hard work out of a beach day with kids. The rooms were large enough to fit a family of 5 and we especially loved having a balcony overlooking the pool. Making s’mores at the firepits, overlooking the beach at sunset, is something my family won’t forget. Chris and Claude made our stay more enjoyable by ensuring all of our needs were met and we were satisfied. We can’t wait to return!!

We just returned from LaPlaya Beach & Golf Resort in Naples, and it may have set a new bar for us. First, the staff's attentiveness was on another level; they deserve their own paragraph. Everyone we met, from the valet to the front desk, restaurant, and beach staff, was congenial, friendly, and genuinely willing to help. Not rehearsed politeness, but real warmth that made the whole stay feel personal. The rooms, lobby, and common areas were immaculate, clearly the work of a team that takes real pride in the property. The on-site restaurant, Baleen, was a standout, and honestly, one of the best meals we've had anywhere in Naples. We started with a beet and butternut squash salad, followed by blackened grouper and a free-range chicken paillard, both cooked to perfection and paired with a glass of Sonoma-Cutrer Chardonnay. Breakfast was just as delectable and included one of my favorites, huevos rancheros. Friends say I'm hypercritical when it comes to food, and I'm not arguing. Most restaurants get by on mediocrity; Baleen doesn't. Every dish was artistic and balanced in its presentation, and only surpassed by its taste. We stayed in a Lanai Room, literally steps from the beach, and "magical" is the only word for it. Waking up that close to the sand and the Gulf is something we won't forget anytime soon. The bedding was extremely comfortable, and we loved that there were even pillow firmness options, so you could dial in exactly how you rest. As my old friend would say, "We'll be back." And I really don't have a choice in the matter, as my wife flatly refuses to go anywhere else in Naples.

Location is perfection. We’re so close to everything but also feels like we’re not in the middle so there was never any traffic to and from the resort. We were greeted by everyone from the moment we pulled into valet. All the staff we encountered during our stay were very hospitable. We walked into our room and found sweet amenities like chocolate covered strawberries and little chocolate turtles. The resort room was beautifully decorated. Very clean linens, towels, and squeaky clean bathrooms. The toiletries provided smelled fabulous. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting in our private patio with the fire pit lit at night. They also offered s’mores which was a great treat for the kids. Overall, this resort was the peaceful reset I greatly needed. Would highly recommended.

This was the most incredible experience and we had the absolute best vacation. My sister, her baby and I went for a getaway and we had the warmest most splendid vibes! Big shout out to cat and Colton who made this vacation feel like we were with family. Couldn’t have asked for better service. Will go again!

This is an amazing hidden gem. The level of service was amazing as was the food. From Aiden at the front desk who handled every request as if we were VIPs to the Koulton with valet staff who knew the hotel like an owner the experience was top notch.
