The Hermitage Hotel

This hotel is lovely. We booked a deluxe queen which was perfect for us and our 2 children. Spacious room and bathroom, lovely and clean. It’s in a great location. I’ve deducted a star for a couple of reasons. Firstly, we booked a rate including valet parking. Our check out invoice included a separate charge for that ($127 for 2 nights). It was removed when I pointed it out, but it’s frustrating having to spend time correcting errors on invoices. Secondly, we booked a rate including breakfast on a booking for 4 people. It didn’t include breakfast; it included a $60 per day credit. By the time you’ve had a main, coffee and juice, you are already well over $30 per head. The breakfast credit doesn’t even cover 2 people, let alone the 4 we booked for. We didn’t bother with breakfast on the 2nd morning (it’s overpriced for what it is) so effectively lost the credit for that day (which we’d paid in our room rate).

We enjoyed the beautiful lobby and gracious 'southern charm' atmosphere. Our room had a view of the Capital and the architecture throughout is stunning. All staff members were kind and helpful. Wonderful experience!!!

Just spectacular service and the grand Salon is unbelievable. You can sit there for hours and look at that everyone there was pleasant address us by name 90% of the time Amber extremely helpful with all our needs why we did not have dinner in the main restaurant we had breakfast twice and both times it was exceptional

This hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed in. From the amazing accommodating front desk staff, to the turn down service and valets every member of the team was amazing. The hotel is absolutely stunning and the rooms are a dream! They have thought of every detail. I told my husband I want to come back and just never leave the hotel! It’s luxury and kindness! Truly can’t wait to stay again. We had weather delays and cancelations with our flights and the hotel accommodated and helped us every step of the way! Truly 5 star in all ways!

The staff were top notch. They were so welcoming and professional. It was so nice to see all of the beautiful gowns on the people attending weddings and other special events. It was a fantastic experience. The accommodations in the hotel were beautiful and comfortable. I loved the historical significance of the hotel.
