Cing was the MOST HOSPITABLE front desk host!!! She deserves all of the accolades for being so kind during a storm of this magnitude. I witnessed many people being harsh and rude to her, but she handled it with grace and kindness. She was a JOY throughout our family’s whole stay!

The entire staff was incredible during our stay when we lost power in the ice storm. They made us feel at home and welcome. Ellen the lobby ambassador was beyond incredible always greeting us and our puppy with smiles and amazing conversation every time we came or went. She truly made our difficult experience better bringing a smile to our face every time we crossed her path. Thank you!

The luckiest Nashville refugees stayed at the JW during the ice storm, but the unexpected surprise was how nice the valet parkers were, especially Kubi. Normally, most valet car retrieval means standing in the cold and waiting. But Kubi served up cars like hot pancakes. Amazing service and politeness. Thank you!

We are Nashville locals who stayed at the JW Marriott this past week, initially due to the inclement weather that was anticipated (I work in healthcare and needed to be near one of the city’s hospitals), however our stay ended up being extended for five nights due to the aftermath of the winter storm that came through our city. As our city’s power went out due to icy conditions, more and more Nashville residents came pouring into the hotel with their families, hoping for a warm place to sleep/stay. We could not have been more impressed with our entire experience. The hotel offered discounted rates to local residents who were without power, and within 24 hours, the hotel went from being almost empty to operating at full capacity. The hotel rooms and the hotel itself were immaculate, and the staff handled everything with such incredible professionalism and kindness. The hotel restaurants went from having a limited number of customers to literally being packed due to other Nashville restaurants being closed. One person who particularly stands out is Maria who works at the Cumberland Restaurant and Bar. She literally served us dinner five nights in a row, and each night, it was a pure delight to see her. She consistently served every customer with a smile and worked harder than any server or bartender I’ve ever met. We later found out that she actually stayed at the hotel and worked extra hours in order to help staff as many of the usual hotel employees were unable to get into work. It’s people like her and the grace that she showed during a stressful time that has made us lifelong JW Marriott customers.
