Reviews for Omni Nashville Hotel

Great location but food service could use help

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 1 day ago

Overall a good stay at Omni Nashville. I think it is a little pricy for the level of service. Took a long time to get good at Barlines prior to the Alan Jackson concert - this could have been communicated to us when ordering. Ignored my wife when offering loyalty benefits. Clean room and comfortable. Definitely a good central location.

Very happy.

My over all experience was pretty good here. The property is really pretty. I was pleasantly surprised with all the shops/restaurants attached to the hotel. It was all connected, I also wasn't expecting the Country Music Hall of Fame to be connected that was a great perk as well. The hotel was extremely clean. The food and drinks were great. The only issue I had was the check in process. I had to wait for the appropriate check in time, which is fine. However, I never received a text or email confirmation that I had a room ready even at check in time. In fact, I waited about 50 minutes past the check in time and had to engage another front desk person to find out why I did not have a room ready. The front desk guy Cash was very helpful and he was able to get a room for us right away. I'd stay here again for sure. Great location to all the excitement downtown nashville has to offer!

Fine but not worth the money

The hotel was clean and the rooms were nice. Checkin took FOREVER and getting the room keys when they were ready required me to wait in the checkin line which was SO SLOW. Everyone was very nice. The coffee shop was good and the people at the bar were efficient and friendly. We switched hotels for our last night to the Hilton and checkin took less than a minute (literally) as did the retrieval of the key to our room. The price was 1/3 if the Omni and just as nice if not nicer. The Omni would not be my first choice ever again in Nashville.

The Markup of Beverages is CRAZY

TripAdvisor Traveler Review Rating Reviewed 4 days ago

I am not one to usually complain about hotel stays. Im not to fussy when it comes to minor room maintenance issues. My BIG concern and complaint is the price markup of the items in the hotel's coffee shop. I went into the Omni Hotel's Coffee Shop, Bongo Java, to grab a few energy drinks for the next few days. I only got two (2) Celsius energy drinks (12oz can). The total for the two (2) 12oz Celsius energy drinks was $17.64! I was anticipating a slight markup for the convenience of having the beverage sold within the hotel. HOWEVER, when the average price (on the high end) of a 12oz Celsius energy drink is $3 each, and Bongo Java is selling them for $8 each, that is a markup of 166%! The next morning I walked up the road to the Walgreens and the exact same 12oz Celsius energy drink were two (2) for $5. I don't know if the insane markup is because of the FIFA World Cup, but a markup of 166% is CRAZY! This is higher markup than at the airport.
